UK Outlook for Thursday 29 Jan 2015 to Saturday 7 Feb 2015:

Much of the UK is likely to be in a cold, showery airstream at first, with sleet and snow showers across northwestern parts of the UK. Gales are likely across northern Britain too. These colder conditions are expected to last through Friday and into the weekend, with further spells of snow and overnight frost and ice, especially across the north of the UK. These conditions may well last into the first week of February, but there are some signs of more changeable weather by the end of the forecast period. Although any stormy weather currently looks unlikely by this time, spells of wind of rain would mean that temperatures may return to nearer normal and the likelihood of snow, frost and ice would be a little lower.

UK Outlook for Sunday 8 Feb 2015 to Sunday 22 Feb 2015:

It looks most likely that unsettled conditions will continue across much of the UK with temperatures closer to normal when compared to the start of February. This may be more obvious across parts of southern and western Britain where it might be a little wetter than average as spells of wind and rain make their way in from the Atlantic. However, there are indications that some drier, colder and more settled conditions may develop across the UK by around the middle of the month, although the confidence of this scenario is currently low.

UK Outlook for Friday 30 Jan 2015 to Sunday 8 Feb 2015:

Sunny spells and blustery wintry showers Friday, the latter primarily affecting northern and western parts with snow across hills and to low levels in the north. It will likely turn even colder through the weekend with sleet and snow showers, frequent across northern parts, with overnight frost and ice. Strong northerly winds, with gales in places, will accentuate the cold with a significant wind chill. The best of the drier, brighter conditions will be in the south. These conditions may well last into the first week of February, but there are signs of more changeable weather by the end of the forecast period. By then, spells of wind and rain would mean that temperatures may return to nearer normal and the likelihood of snow, frost and ice would be lower.

UK Outlook for Monday 9 Feb 2015 to Wednesday 18 Feb 2015:

Mostly quiet weather conditions are expected as we start next week, though occasional light rain is possible, mainly in the north. Temperatures still below normal for many with overnight frost. Through the latter part of next week, there is a risk of more widespread rain and some snow over northwestern parts as conditions are likely to become more influenced by the Atlantic. Gradually becoming less cold here. Further south, conditions will be mainly dry with some sunshine. Thereafter, temperatures will remain near or just below average and it will be often dry, particularly in the south, where overnight frost is likely. However, it will be generally more unsettled in the north and west and less cold.

UK Outlook for Thursday 19 Feb 2015 to Thursday 5 Mar 2015:

It currently looks most probable that a period of more settled weather will continue to dominate in the south, whilst changeable Atlantic conditions will likely prevail at the start of the period in the north. This leaves most parts of the UK, especially the south, with slightly drier and colder conditions than average, with overnight frosts and fog patches likely at times.

UK Outlook for Thursday 12 Feb 2015 to Saturday 21 Feb 2015:

High pressure will remain dominant across much of the country on Thursday and Friday next week with mostly dry and benign conditions, but with plenty of cloud around and locally murky conditions where any fog lingers. However, southwesterly winds will bring occasional rain to northwestern parts. Temperatures around normal in northern parts, but remaining rather cold in the south. Thereafter, the emphasis remains on mostly dry, settled conditions, particularly in southern and central areas where temperatures will gradually become milder with more sunny breaks developing. Overnight frosts will likely develop under any cloud breaks, and fog could form too which may be slow to clear. Northwestern parts will probably see some rain and windier conditions at times. Temperatures generally around the average, but locally mild at times in eastern parts.

UK Outlook for Sunday 22 Feb 2015 to Sunday 8 Mar 2015:

It currently looks most probable that the settled weather will continue to dominate the UK weather to start this period, with drier and probably colder than average conditions, giving overnight frosts and fog patches at times. However, there are signs that by early March, conditions could become more unsettled across the UK but with temperatures probably varying around normal.

UK Outlook for Friday 20 Feb 2015 to Sunday 1 Mar 2015:

Unsettled through the weekend, with outbreaks of rain and strengthening winds spreading eastwards across the country. Showers following, locally heavy in northwest, wintry over hills in far north with gales. During the last week of February a northwest/southeast divide is likely. Higher pressure to the south leading to mostly dry and fairly settled conditions, whilst stints of more cyclonic weather crossing the north at times. This will lead to spells of wetter, windier weather, a high likelihood of gales or severe gales in the northwest, and some snow over mountains. Bands of rain may occasionally push further south, although generally weaken as they do. Temperatures near or rather below normal for the time of year.

UK Outlook for Monday 2 Mar 2015 to Monday 16 Mar 2015:

Although the general north/south split is likely to remain throughout this period, there are signs that the whole of the UK may see a slightly drier than average spell at the beginning of March. The best of the drier and brighter conditions are still most likely across southern parts though some bands of rain and showers will cross these areas at times. Northern parts are more likely to see rain and showers as well as periods of stronger winds, interspersed with some brighter, but also colder conditions. Temperatures are likely to vary between the wetter, milder spells and colder, brighter interludes, with local overnight frost remaining possible.

UK Outlook for Saturday 21 Feb 2015 to Monday 2 Mar 2015:

Conditions are most likely to be unsettled through the weekend with outbreaks of rain and scattered showers. These probably heavy at times, and with the risk of hail and thunderstorms, and perhaps turning wintry across northern hills. West or northwesterly winds are also expected to strengthen, with gales likely across northern parts. During the early part of next week conditions likely transition into a north/south divide. The north seeing spells of wetter, windier weather, with a high likelihood of gales or severe gales in the northwest, and some snow over mountains. Bands of rain occasionally push further south, although generally weaken as they do as higher pressure leads to mostly dry and more settled conditions across the south. Temperatures near or rather below normal for the time of year.

UK Outlook for Saturday 7 Mar 2015 to Monday 16 Mar 2015:

A northwest/southeast split is likely through the weekend with wetter weather in the northwest, with outbreaks of rain probably becoming slow moving. It will also be windy perhaps with gales in places. Drier, brighter, less windy conditions are likely in the southeast, with some sunny spells. It will become mild across the country and may be very mild in some eastern parts. After the weekend, there looks to be a change to more settled conditions to most parts of the UK, however, occasional weather systems will likely bring cloudier interludes with rain to northern and western parts. There is uncertainty in temperatures, but they are likely to be around normal for the time of year.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 17 Mar 2015 to Tuesday 31 Mar 2015:

It looks probable that pressure will remain higher than average across the whole of the UK at first, before more than likely weakening and becoming more focussed across the south of the UK by the end of the month. This would bring generally drier conditions, but it is likely that there could also be some cloud at times, with some occasional rain or showers particularly across the north. However, the chance of any prolonged wet and windy weather looks relatively small. Temperatures will most likely be close to average, perhaps slightly below in the south. Some colder nights are possible with the risk of frost, mist and fog in places.

UK Outlook for Thursday 12 Mar 2015 to Saturday 21 Mar 2015:

It is likely that some rain will affect most parts on Thursday as a frontal system tracks its way eastwards across the UK. The rain may be heavy at times in the west with strong winds also possible. The rain may linger in the east into Friday but things should then turn more settled as high pressure is expected to develop. This leaves a lot of dry weather over the UK with some bright or sunny spells though there may well be large amounts of cloud and the odd spot of mostly light rain or drizzle. This situation looks to persist into the following week. Winds should be generally light with temperatures close to average for the time of year, although some cold nights are still likely.

UK Outlook for Sunday 22 Mar 2015 to Sunday 5 Apr 2015:

It is most probably that there will be a gradual weakening of the high pressure as we head through the latter part of March and into April. This means northern parts could well turn more unsettled, with showers or perhaps longer spells of rain. However, further south it looks like conditions are set to remain drier than average, with more spring sunshine. There is likely to be quite a large daily variation in temperatures, with warm days but chilly nights.

UK Outlook for Friday 13 Mar 2015 to Sunday 22 Mar 2015:

Some parts on Friday will see showers or longer spells of rain, before improving and turning drier and brighter as high pressure builds in the south and winds ease. Turning largely cloudy and dry on Saturday, although possibly a little light rain in the west at times. Thereafter, it stays largely dry over the whole of the UK with some bright or sunny spells, though there may well be large amounts of cloud and the odd spot of mostly light rain or drizzle. This situation looks to persist into the following week, with episodes of rain most likely in the north of the country. Winds should be generally light with temperatures close to average for the time of year, although some cold nights are still likely, especially where skies clear.

UK Outlook for Monday 16 Mar 2015 to Wednesday 25 Mar 2015:

Through the beginning of next week high pressure to the northeast looks set to dominate the weather across the UK, bringing largely settled conditions. There will, however, probably be a good deal of cloud around which may be thick enough for some occasional outbreaks of rain or drizzle or sleet, particularly in the east. Temperatures will be on the cold side in the southeast, but should be close to normal towards the northwest. Later in the forecast period, although there will still be a lot of dry weather around, occasional spells of rain and stronger winds are increasingly likely in the northwest, perhaps spreading across the entire UK for a time. Daytime temperatures should recover to around normal generally, although some chilly nights are expected with frost still possible.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 18 Mar 2015 to Friday 27 Mar 2015:

Until at least the middle of next week high pressure looks set to dominate the weather across the UK, bringing largely settled conditions. There will, however, probably be a good deal of cloud which may be thick enough for some occasional outbreaks of rain/drizzle or sleet, particularly in the east. Temperatures will generally be near or just below normal, making it feel quite chilly in the wind. Into the following weekend and beyond, although there will still be a lot of dry weather initially, occasional spells of rain and stronger winds are increasingly likely in the northwest, perhaps spreading across the entire UK for a time. UK Outlook for Saturday 28 Mar 2015 to Saturday 11 Apr 2015:

There is fairly low confidence regarding developments during this period. It seems likely that most parts will gradually become rather more unsettled, with scattered showers or perhaps some longer spells of rain. However, the south and east are likely to see drier conditions with some sunshine at times. There is likely to be a wide range in temperatures, with some warm days but also locally chilly nights.

UK Outlook for Monday 23 Mar 2015 to Wednesday 1 Apr 2015:

High pressure will likely persist over England and Wales at first, bringing dry, albeit rather cloudy, conditions. However, rain over Scotland will move southeastwards, as a weakening feature, during Monday. There remains uncertainty with regard to its progress and thus southeastern parts may remain dry. Behind this weather front, colder and brighter conditions will filter south and reach all parts during Tuesday. Showers, wintry over the hills, will push in across northern parts on the brisk winds before easing later as pressure builds from the west. Thereafter, high pressure looks likely to decline southwards allowing periods of unsettled weather to push in from the Atlantic. These spells of rain will be interspersed by drier, brighter, and occasionally showery, periods. Temperatures are likely to be close to, or slightly below, average.

UK Outlook for Thursday 2 Apr 2015 to Thursday 16 Apr 2015:

A changeable period is expected, with unsettled conditions interspersed with some fine spells of weather. The current indication is that westerlies will persist allowing showers, or longer spells of rain to affect the UK at times with northwestern parts likely seeing the most frequent bouts of unsettled weather. There will be some fine periods too across all parts at times, but the best and most prolonged of these are expected to be predominantly across the south and east. There is also likely to be a wide range in temperatures, with some pleasantly warm days, especially in the south and east, but also some cold nights, with a continued risk of local frosts.
