UK Outlook for Sunday 2 Mar 2014 to Tuesday 11 Mar 2014:

The first part of March is likely to remain unsettled, particularly across the north of the UK with a mixture of sunny spells and showers, or longer spells of rain. Showers may be heavy at times, and will be wintry over high ground. Winds in the north will often be strong, reaching gale force at times. The south will most likely see more in the way of drier weather at times compared to the north, but also will see some bands of rain moving through during this period, with a risk of gales anywhere. Temperatures on the whole through this period will be fairly typical for the time of year, with a risk of local frost.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 12 Mar 2014 to Wednesday 26 Mar 2014:

Current indications suggest a more typically unsettled pattern across the United Kingdom through this period. We will most likely see fairly average conditions, which would mean spells of wet and windy weather, mostly in the north and west, but still some decent sunny spells in between. The best of the drier, brighter conditions is most likely in the south and east of the UK. Temperatures are likely to be around average, which may lead to more frequent incidences of frost compared to recent weeks.

Showers may be heavy in places, and also will be wintry over high ground in the north. Winds will often be strong, reaching gale force at times, mainly in exposed northern parts. Southern areas will most likely see more in the way of drier spells of weather compared to the north, but more unsettled conditions and stronger winds are likely to spread to the south at times, perhaps giving gales. UK Outlook for Wednesday 5 Mar 2014 to Friday 14 Mar 2014:

Conditions through the week will remain generally unsettled with further showers or longer spells of rain. The heaviest and most persistent rain is likely in the north and west, with some snow over the hills. It will be windy at times, with a risk of gales across exposed northwestern areas. However, some drier and sunnier periods are also likely, especially across southern and eastern parts where rainfall events may well be less frequent than of late. Temperatures generally above normal, but with the risk of overnight frost and icy patches in quieter interludes in the north. Through into the following week, conditions are likely to remain changeable with further wet and windy weather, but there are some indications that the weather may become more settled later, especially in the south.

UK Outlook for Friday 7 Mar 2014 to Sunday 16 Mar 2014:

Through Friday and into the weekend, northern and western areas are likely to remain unsettled with rain, heavy at times, and strong winds. The southeast should be drier and brighter, though showers are still possible. Temperatures generally near normal at first but becoming mild, especially in the sunnier southeast. Northern parts will start the following week unsettled and windy. Longer spells of sunshine should develop but it will remain changeable with some rain or showers at times. UK Outlook for Sunday 9 Mar 2014 to Tuesday 18 Mar 2014:

The general trend for next week is for the most unsettled weather towards the northwest of the UK, and the best of the drier and brighter conditions towards the southeast. On Sunday, milder, wetter and windier weather in the northwest will gradually ease and weaken as it spreads southwards, followed by colder and clearer conditions for a time, before turning more unsettled again in the northwest on Monday. The rest of next week will see continued periods of wetter and windier weather in northwest Scotland, though elsewhere a good deal of dry weather with some sunshine by day and the risk of frost and fog in some central and southern areas by night. Daytime temperatures probably above normal. Thereafter, possibly turning more changeable right across the UK.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 11 Mar 2014 to Thursday 20 Mar 2014:

Most areas fine through Tuesday and quite sunny, with unbroken sunshine for some. It may be cloudier in parts of southern England and northwest Scotland. Through the rest of the week, high pressure will dominate, with only northwest Scotland and perhaps western parts of Northern Ireland seeing occasional damp, windier weather, whilst elsewhere there will be a good deal of settled weather with some sunshine. Daytime temperatures probably above normal, but often chilly overnight with the risk of frost and fog. Towards next weekend and into the following week, it is likely to turn more changeable, especially in the north. Here, some heavy rain, hill snow and gales seem increasingly likely, and even in the south some cloudier, windier weather with occasional rain, with temperatures returning to normal.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 12 Mar 2014 to Friday 21 Mar 2014:

High pressure will dominate the weather pattern across the UK at first, bringing plenty of dry and fine weather with variable amounts of cloud and periods of sunshine. However, northwest Scotland and perhaps western parts of Northern Ireland will see occasional cloudy, damp and windier weather at times. Daytime temperatures are likely to be around, or just above, normal; but temperatures will drop under the influence of clear skies and light winds overnight leading to the risk of local frost and fog. Towards next weekend and into the following week, it is likely to turn more changeable, especially in the north. Here, some locally heavy rain, hill snow and gales seem increasingly likely, and even in the south some cloudier, windier weather with occasional rain, with temperatures returning to normal.

UK Outlook for Sunday 23 Mar 2014 to Sunday 6 Apr 2014:

Current indications suggest fairly typical weather conditions for the time of year being most likely during late March and early April. As such some spells of wet and windy weather or showery conditions should be expected, most likely in the north and west. There will be drier and brighter interludes too, best of these to the south and east. Northwestern parts are most likely to see above average rainfall amounts during this time, and some hill snow is also possible in the north. Temperatures may be a little below average at first, especially to the northwest, and then nearer average later. Given the time of year this does mean any clear nights will tend to be chilly with a risk of frost.
