UK Outlook for Sunday 1 Sep 2013 to Sunday 15 Sep 2013:

Often settled weather is expected to continue into the early part of this forecast period across southern and eastern areas, most likely leaving these regions with spells of fine and pleasantly warm weather. Further north and west, there is a greater chance of rain or showers and cooler temperatures. Thereafter, no strong signals currently exist for the weather running into the middle part of September. As such, further spells of fine weather are possible but equally, relative to the early part of this forecast period, bouts of unsettled weather are also more likely to affect all parts of the UK.

UK Outlook for Saturday 24 Aug 2013 to Monday 2 Sep 2013:

Some bright or sunny spells to start on Saturday, these mainly in the east. Through the day and into Sunday it should turn more unsettled from the west, with showers or longer spells of rain possible for many. It will be rather warm especially in the southeast. Into next week and there are likely to be mixed conditions with some fine weather but also showery outbreaks. Southern parts are most at risk with any rain potentially turning thundery. Through the week conditions should turn more settled, and temperatures will return to near normal during the day, and become cooler and fresher overnight. Later in the period and any unsettled weather will tend to affect northern and western areas, with warm and drier than average conditions for the south and east.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 4 Sep 2013 to Wednesday 18 Sep 2013:

At this stage, conditions look slightly more likely than not to be reasonably settled during the early part of this forecast period. Southern and eastern Britain then probably seeing the best of the dry, fine and pleasantly warm weather, whilst further north and west there is a greater chance that fine spells may be interrupted by rain or showers. Thereafter, no strong signals currently exist for the weather running into the middle part of September. As such, further spells of fine weather are possible but equally, relative to the early part of this forecast period, bouts of unsettled weather are also a little more likely to affect all parts of the UK.

UK Outlook for Sunday 25 Aug 2013 to Tuesday 3 Sep 2013:

Conditions are most likely to be changeable with variable amounts of cloud and some bright or sunny spells. Cloud will probably be thick enough for some showers or outbreaks of rain at times, though most regions will see some drier spells too. Thereafter, changeable weather should continue with a fair amount of cloud, some bright or sunny spells and showers. Unsettled conditions then probably becoming increasingly confined to northern and some western regions later, leaving the south and east mainly fine and dry. Temperatures largely near normal, perhaps warm in parts of southern Britain. Little change is expected as we head into the start of September, with the north and west most likely to see any unsettled weather and the south and east probably drier and more settled.

UK Outlook for Monday 26 Aug 2013 to Wednesday 4 Sep 2013:

Conditions at the start of next week likely to be on the unsettled side with variable amounts of cloud, some bright or sunny spells, but also a chance of showers. The threat of unsettled weather is then expected to become increasingly confined to northern and western parts of the UK during the course of next week, conditions to the south and east then often fine and dry. Daytime temperatures next week largely near average for late August and perhaps a little above in some southern parts and, as such, feeling quite pleasant during fine spells. Little change is then expected as we head into the start of September, with the north and west most likely to see any unsettled weather and the south and east probably drier and more settled.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 27 Aug 2013 to Thursday 5 Sep 2013:

Conditions early next week likely to be on the unsettled side, some sunny spells, but also some cloudier periods with rain or showers. The threat of unsettled weather is then expected to become increasingly confined to northwestern parts later next week, conditions further south and east then often fine and dry. Daytime temperatures largely near average for late August and perhaps a little above in some southern parts later next week, so, feeling quite pleasant during fine weather. UK Outlook for Wednesday 28 Aug 2013 to Friday 6 Sep 2013:

Most places will remain dry mid-week with variable cloud and sunny spells. However, some rain will push into northwestern parts through Thursday, before weakening as it pushes southeast. Thereafter, changeable weather is expected to become confined to northwestern parts with conditions further south and east often fine and dry. Daytime temperatures largely near average for late August and perhaps warm in some southern parts later next week. UK Outlook for Thursday 29 Aug 2013 to Saturday 7 Sep 2013:

Northern areas will be prone to seeing some patchy rain to end the working week, but elsewhere, it should be dry with sunny spells and variable cloud. For the remainder of August and into early September, northern areas look set to remain rather changeable with showers or perhaps longer outbreaks of rain at times. Further south, largely fine and quiet conditions look set to prevail through this period with clear or sunny spells. Daytime temperatures on the whole will be close to normal in the north, but warm at times in the south, especially in the best of the sunshine. That said, southern areas in particular will be prone to chilly nights, given clear skies and light winds, as well as the risk of overnight fog developing.

A northwest-southeast split at first, unsettled conditions in the north, with cloud and rain possibly spreading as far south as the Midlands and Wales at times. Breezy with strong winds in the north and a risk of gales. Further southeast generally drier, with variable cloud amounts, sunny spells and with temperatures warm or very warm at first. Increasingly more unsettled conditions spreading to western and central parts on Thursday, then the rest of the UK over the weekend. Expect showers or spells of more persistent, locally heavy rain, interspersed with some drier and brighter interludes with the north and west probably the wettest. Windy with risk of gales in the northwest at times. Temperatures on the cool side of normal in northwest, near-average elsewhere, perhaps slightly above normal in southeast.

UK Outlook for Saturday 14 Sep 2013 to Saturday 28 Sep 2013:

During the second half of September there is no clear signal emerging for any particular weather pattern to dominate across the UK. As a consequence, the chances of above and below average rainfall are equally probable. However, in terms of temperature, the balance of probabilities favours slightly above average conditions.
