UK Outlook for Tuesday 16 Jul 2013 to Tuesday 30 Jul 2013:

There are signals that the dry and settled weather from the first half of the month should continue across most parts of the UK during at least the first half of this period. This means rainfall should be below average, with mainly above-average temperatures and above-average sunshine amounts.

UK Outlook for Monday 8 Jul 2013 to Wednesday 17 Jul 2013:

Conditions look likely to be fine, dry and settled across the UK throughout much of this period, with some long sunny spells by day. It may often be cloudier across some northwestern parts of the UK with a risk of some rain, particularly later next week. There is also a low risk of an isolated afternoon heavy shower developing over hills through next week and perhaps some cloudier conditions for southeastern areas of England mid-week. Away from the far northwest, it will be warm or very warm, and locally hot over inland central and southern areas. Towards the end of the period, it may turn more unsettled across northern areas, with occasional rain or showers. Fine, mostly dry and warm weather is expected to continue across many southern parts though.

UK Outlook for Thursday 11 Jul 2013 to Saturday 20 Jul 2013:

The best of dry, fine weather will probably migrate to the west of the UK early in this period, with northern and eastern parts undergoing something of a cloudier and cooler blip in the generally fine and largely sunny theme. More generally fine and dry conditions should reassert themselves from the first weekend, with very warm and locally hot conditions for many areas, especially in the south, although coasts will remain cooler. Into the final week of the period, although some dry fine and warm weather remains likely, especially towards the south and southeast, conditions are likely to slowly turn more unsettled, at least across northern UK. Occasional rain and showers here are likely to become more frequent and then spread further south and east at times, more likely later.

UK Outlook for Friday 12 Jul 2013 to Sunday 21 Jul 2013:

Into next weekend and through to the following week most areas should continue to see fine and dry weather with plenty of sunshine. The winds should remain mainly light, but breezier at times with temperatures above average, feeling very warm and locally hot. There may be cloud around eastern and western coasts, whilst northwest Scotland is expected to be rather cloudy and cooler with some mostly light rain or drizzle. The rain may turn heavier into the following week and will spread across northern and western parts. Further ahead there is still expected to be some fine, dry and warm weather around, especially in the south and east. Unsettled and changeable conditions are increasingly likely to spread from the northwest

These are likely to be heaviest, most frequent and possibly thundery in the north and east, and it will be cooler here too. Through the rest of the period it will be unsettled in the north with some dry spells, but also rain at times, this heaviest in the west. Across the south it should be mainly dry with a good deal of sunshine and just a small risk of an isolated shower. Temperatures near normal in the northwest, warm elsewhere and locally very warm in the south.

UK Outlook for Monday 15 Jul 2013 to Wednesday 24 Jul 2013:

To start the new week, many areas should be fine and dry at first, but cloud and outbreaks of rain near northwest Scotland will gradually move southeastwards, reaching Northern England and Wales later on Monday and into Tuesday. Temperatures around average in the north, but remaining above average in the south. Through the rest of the period it may be changeable for most, with the most unsettled conditions in the north. So rain or showers interspersed with drier, brighter periods, with the rain most likely in the north, and occasionally windy here. Meanwhile the south should see more in the way of drier, brighter and warmer weather. Temperatures near or cooler than average in the northwest, and generally above average elsewhere, perhaps occasionally very warm still in the south.

UK Outlook for Thursday 25 Jul 2013 to Thursday 8 Aug 2013:

The balance of probability suggests conditions in late July being fairly similar to those of mid-July. As such southern regions are most likely to see periods of dry and settled weather with above average sunshine and temperatures and below average rainfall. Northern regions, meanwhile, remain most likely to be affected by bouts of changeable, unsettled weather. There are then some signs of some of these more changeable conditions spreading further south during early August.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 17 Jul 2013 to Friday 26 Jul 2013:

On Wednesday and Thursday, largely fine and dry away from the far northwest where there may be some cloud and outbreaks of rain. Probably rather cloudy for a time across some central and eastern parts. Temperatures around average in the north, and remaining above average in the south, perhaps locally hot again in the far south. The bulk of the UK thereafter should continue with similar conditions, with a good deal of fine, dry and warm weather with any spells of rain or showers brief, and mainly restricted to the north. Refreshing afternoon sea breezes should continue to bring cooler conditions around the coasts. Perhaps occasionally cloudier and cooler towards the east coast. Temperatures remaining near average in the north, and generally above average elsewhere, occasionally hot in the south.

UK Outlook for Saturday 20 Jul 2013 to Monday 29 Jul 2013:

Many areas dry with plenty of sunshine this weekend, but some northern and eastern parts likely to see more in the way of low cloud and misty conditions. Also risk of very isolated afternoon showers developing at times. Feeling warm or very warm for many inland, but cooler towards the coasts. Predominantly settled conditions will continue into the next working week, however there is an increasing risk of daytime showers developing and also northwestern parts becoming cloudier with outbreaks of rain. Remaining warm or hot in many places, but nearer normal in the cloudier northwest and along some coasts. Thereafter, the dry and warm weather will continue across eastern and southern parts at first, but there is an increasing probability of more unsettled, cooler conditions progressing southeastwards.
