Simply a different form of words meaning much the same it seems to me and hardly worth a revamp. They do that when the back of the 6-15 day outlook is totally at odds with the 16-30.

UK Outlook for Monday 17 Jun 2013 to Wednesday 26 Jun 2013:

To start next week, a good deal of dry weather across the north/northeast of the UK, though with a scattering of showers. More unsettled across southern and western parts, with the chance of some heavy rain. Perhaps brighter with some showers in the far south and southwest. Breezy in places, mainly in the south. Temperatures mostly just below to around normal, possibly rather warm in the south/southeast. The changeable theme then continues through the rest of the week, with further showers or longer spells of rain. Temperatures generally close to or a little below average. However, towards next weekend and into the following week, southern and eastern parts probably seeing some lengthier drier and brighter conditions. Temperatures remaining close to normal, but warm at times in the south and east.

Indications currently show that the weather is likely to stay rather changeable through the end of June and first part of July, with westerly winds allowing weather systems to push in from the Atlantic, bringing spells of rain at times. Conditions will generally be more unsettled towards the northwest of the UK, with the best of the drier and brighter periods in the south and east. Temperatures are likely to be a little below average for the time of year, especially in western parts, whereas rainfall amounts look to be close to average in most places.

Slight changes in the wording will likely happen day on day where the emphasis varies on the ridging /troughing but as usual in this changeable Atlantic regime the general theme of somewhat better further SE is usual in this UK Summer setup.

On Tuesday there should be a fair amount of dry weather across Scotland, Northern Ireland, and also southern and western parts of the UK, with a few scattered showers. More unsettled weather elsewhere, with the chance of some heavy rain in northeastern England. Showery conditions then probably affecting many places on Wednesday. Breezy across the south and west, with daytime temperatures mostly near normal, possibly rather warm in the south/southeast. The generally changeable theme then continues through the rest of the period, with further showers or longer spells of rain, most prolonged in the northwest where it will be windy. Temperatures generally close to or a little below average. However, southern and eastern parts probably seeing some lengthier drier and brighter conditions later on, with temperatures a little above average.

Most areas dry and bright with light winds and the odd shower on Wednesday, although cloudier conditions with outbreaks of rain are likely to arrive in northwest Scotland later. Cloud and rain across northwestern parts are likely to gradually edge southeastwards through Thursday, but become increasingly light and patchy. The far southeast of England is also at risk of some more persistent rain for a time on Thursday. Daytime temperatures generally near normal, possibly warm across southeastern parts. The changeable theme then continues into the weekend and thereafter, with showers or spells of more persistent rain interspersed with drier, brighter interludes. Southern and eastern areas probably seeing the best of the fine and warmer spells, whilst northwestern areas have periods of more persistent rain, windy conditions and nearer normal temperatures.

Through Saturday, a band of rain across the west will spread east, clearing the far south east overnight. Heavy rain is possible at first but should turn lighter through the day. Brighter and showery weather following the rainband in the north and west on Saturday will spread to all areas on Sunday. It will turn windier through the weekend, particularly in the north and west, with temperatures close to or just below average. Thereafter, conditions look set to remain unsettled with showers or longer spells of rain but also some drier and clearer interludes. The north and west is likely to see the strongest winds and most frequent rain whilst the south and east enjoys the best of the drier and brighter spells. Temperatures remaining near or just below normal.

An unsettled period of weather is expected during Sunday and Monday with rain or showers across most parts. The heaviest and most persistent rain is likely across central and eastern parts on Sunday, before brighter but showery conditions move in by Monday. It will also be windy, with a low risk of gales in the east. Feeling generally rather cool, especially in the east. Thereafter, a north-south split is likely to develop, with northern areas staying unsettled with further spells of rain, heaviest and most prolonged in the west. Whereas southern parts likely to see some drier and brighter interludes develop for a time between showers, before more unsettled conditions return here later in the week. Temperatures still rather cool in the north, but probably recovering to near average elsewhere.

UK Outlook for Monday 24 Jun 2013 to Wednesday 3 Jul 2013:

An east-west split is likely to develop early next week with eastern and northeastern areas rather cool and cloudy with showery outbreaks of rain, locally heavy in places. Further west should be rather drier although still a good deal of cloud here, with best of the sunshine in sheltered spots, allowing temperatures to recover to near normal. From Thursday onwards, unsettled conditions are likely to spread in from the west. Bands of rain are likely to affect many areas, with western and northwestern parts likely to see the heaviest and most persistent rain. However some eastern and southeastern areas may occasionally be sheltered from the rain allowing some drier and brighter spells to develop. Temperatures still rather cool in the north, but probably nearer to average elsewhere.
