not looking so good on 6z run still long way off yet

I'm pretty sure though the 6z always takes the more pessimistic view...or am I getting those the wrong way round? Have been away from NW for over a week so a bit rusty, lol

Some nice cloudscapes this afternoon despite, expectedly, pretty limited cloud heights due to lack of instability. Looks to be a better looking shower approaching here from the NW currently. Had a couple of light-moderate showers a short while ago interspersed with some lovely sunshine, so not all bad.

Hope Windypants is time lapsing these showers - a nice looking one to my NW at the moment. :D

I started to... but i've got my rainbow head on now 8)

Theres a lovely one across the city as we speak

lots of good looking showers heading our way from the NW

Should have something to share by Sundown.

Sunshine and showers around Norwich at the moment, though the cloud structures aren't too impressive- there seems to be that "ill-definedness" often associated with moist windy weather. Looks like there are some bigger ones to the west on the radar, a lot depends on whether they can keep their intensity.

Edit: some pretty bright echoes appearing on the radar now!

In the end, quite an intense shower cloud passed close to the south of here, I was even on the lookout for thunder and lightning from it at one stage, but it didn't materialise. Some pretty good cloud effects associated with it, and then there was a vivid red sunset, so the day did, indeed, turn interesting here.

Great timelapse! :p

Captures the showery day really well. I particularly like towards the end where the larger shower (which I think was the one that was a few miles to my SW) casts a dark shadow over the city. Looks like there was some decent height on it as well. And a lovely blue sky to finish off a typical showery day. :)

Cheers mate

I think i may have caught this larger shower in this section of timelapse

.....before i got distracted
