Interesting cell has popped up in the Stoke-on-Trent area in the past half hour, drifting slowly south...hmm, my interest is possibly piqued ?

Heading my/our way :)

Would be nice .... a lot of low cloud now here as the breeze kicks in from the NE. Rain still looks to be edging NE though slowly

Had a lot of rain today but no storms, not even in the distance! Am slap bang in the middle of the rotating weather system, rain today shows no rain in the area so im not holding out for anything now. Another missed opportunity

Seems to have died a death looking at the more recent radar images.

agreed no light or noise for half hour now, however both rain today and the met radar show the precipitation to be heavy in my area.

Helen(BBC) you have duped me...the relationship is off.

no valentine's card from me.

Im just going to wait for the Spanish Plume like I did in the old days.

Yes we had tons of heavy and torrential rain at times..

but not one Strike, though Im pleased for Katherine ect....sounded like a real good electric storm.

Your not wrong.

Im growing tired of bad forecasts. I know its hard to predict thunderstorms, But it seems to be getting worse year on year.

A few years ago, you used to be able to rely on estofex forecasts, These seem to be slipping also.

Climate Change??? :cc_confused:

Don't want to start a CC discussion however things do seem to be changing climate wise and what different weather setups end up producing. It appears weather forecasters are becoming more and more knowledgeable year on year, yet their ability to forecast storms is remaining quite stagnant if not dipping! Would be worth noting for the last several years, the MetO in particular has been rather dire in forecasting thunderstorms!

oh they're always a good source of entertainment. That, and the lack of being able to spell or use punctuation is shockingly poor for such a professional organisation that produces services for the whole country :cc_confused:

to be honest I dont usauly get caught out anymore..But yesterday I was.....Unless there is A Spanish Plume from t he South I wont bother anymore...

I know its difficult predicting TS in this country but certain Organisations do go over the top predicting nasty or severe weather here..

I can understand in the States but here...well over the top

Ok fair enough there were storms yesterday..But the Beeb was over 100 miles out..

What happened to the days of M.Fish and the Ian mckaskel?? and the other presenters who just had stick on symbols...90% of the time they where accurate..no joke..

anyone in there 40's or 50's will agree with me..

anyway I wont moan anymore....me said and done :acute:
