Welcome back, Paul

Well you were right - back you come and the atmosphere turns a little nuts.

Shame not a lot happening here, but I suppose we can hope for later on...you think?

Ok Im slightly worried.....and Im certainly not chasing anything yet...No nasty storms apart from the North East looks interesting..

But assuming Helen is correct this wave of heavy showers will continue all night.....so no towel from me yet...come 1.00am then I will start to give up..

Until then no fat lady singing

Bar 1 strike in the home counties the only action is in linconshire and even that is weakening. Can any more experiencd members shed any light on whether there will be anything electrical further south?

Looks like it exploded around Peterborough/Rutland around 40 mins ago. Can anyone confirm this? The radar showed loads of lightning strikes around that area and there was torrential rain in it too.

I don't think the pictures do it justice.

Pictures are way too big when you click on them.

Similar skies here. :unknw:

Just been out to get some milk, and after a couple of hours of rain, it all feels very "stormy" out there! Orange clouds, black clouds, white clouds - blue sky! Looks like low level cloud moving in a completely different direction to the high level?

There's steam coming off the road from the rain, everything is deadly still, very atmospheric!

Could it be brewing?
