Unfortunately, that is it for the 2010 chase - it's been an epic year with numerous tornadoes, supercells and plenty more in between, we took our largest number of guests ever and by the feedback (and repeat bookings) we're getting it seems like everyone had a blast!

Loads of people to thank for their time and efforts this year - starting with Mr Storm Chase himself, Paul Sherman - he loves his chasing and that passion shines through when he's out in the USA but even so I know that he doesn't find spending 6 weeks away from his family easy, so thanks mate - everything you do is very much appreciated!

All of our storm chase staff members also play a huge part, in fact without them it wouldn't be possible, so a big thank you to John Hanrahan, Tom Lynch and Ian Cameron and Ian Michaelwaite for your driving, GPS, video, forum reports, social co-ordinating, car packing and plenty more besides.

We also have our guests, you have all helped to make make this years trips special, each an every tour has had a great atmosphere, so thank you!

Finally we have all those on the forums, facebook and twitter who got involved - all your posts, forecasts and words of encouragement are much appreciated by those out in the USA - hopefully you've enjoyed following the team's exploits over the last 6 weeks.

We will have some video highlights and unseen footage which we couldn't get back from the USA over the net to show off in the coming days and weeks, so look out for those, but aside from that it's less than 11 months to the start of the 2011 season, when we'll be doing it all over again!!

Congratulations and a huge thankyou must go to the Netweather teams - chasing, forum management, guests - on an excellent chasing season. This forum is definately up there among the best in the UK for Great Plains chasing coverage and the live stream is a huge bonus.

Well done to you all and look forward to next year - who knows, I may actually get out myself again.

Big thanks to everyone involved, especially Paul S, Tom, Ian, and the guests on tour 2, and not forgetting James. There really is nowhere in the world I would rather be than chasing on the plains with Netweather.

Going back next year and I can't wait!

321 days to Tour 1...

so good i'm coming back for more next year and mark I like your flickr gallery,

anyone thinking of going book your place as you never know what you may see yahoo.gif lets all hope that next years tours are as good as this years there is some evidence that the amount of Tornados come in cycles you will find discussions on it at http://www.stormtrack.org/forum/ as well as on this forum and others and the cycle was on its first year so a couple more good years to come but regardless there is always going to be some big weather to watch even there normal storms are amazing compared to what we usually get in the UK.

not i lot a can say that i havn't before a brilliant gathering.gif of like minded people see some of you next year and new faces toofriends.gif

regards to all Pete

What they said!

Ok, Seriously...

I think everyone on Tour 2 knows how much of a great time I had.

Firstly

Appologies to everyone on my tour for the Tornado Torrets - I think it should be an official medical condition as I'm sure there were a couple of other people who had symptoms too!

Thanks to Paul for some brilliant chases, lots of driving, teaching me stuff and letting me press buttons! clap.gif

To Brucie (Tom) and Ian for safe driving (even when we couldn't see) and getting us where we needed to be. drunk.gif

And thanks also to

Dave for sharing a room with me and being the biggest, most amusing, flirt ever - Amarillo Dave should be your name! wub.gif

Mark for helping with the i-pod abuse! rofl.gif

Danny for putting a load of footage on my hard drive after I lost mine. good.gif

Everyone else - You guys were brilliant! drinks.gif

See you next year!

Jo

-x-

I'd previously made mention to the job the guys had done during our tour.

Let's not forget it is a business that Paul and the guys are running here, and to that end a more devoted bunch of folks you'd struggle hard to find. Didn't see the other tour companies expounding and socialising quite like our teams.

To those who dedicate their spare time is assisting and supporting the tours, your a credit.

Never ending with knowledge, assistance and help of most kinds the team really do work at this to make it so worthwhile and totally enjoyable.

Which is proven by how many folks book to go back, to that end time to go find a new piggy bank :cray: to save for next time and here's hoping I get to count beyond "1" tornado next year :drinks:

Now enjoy your break, you worked damn hard for it, all of you.

PS I've even sent Tyson Darling a "THANK YOU" card for being so pleasant

Back Home and trying to stay awake - Have to echo what the others have said. Loved every minute of the 2010 Season. Have to say thanks to the other staff who made it possible, from Brucie with his driving, GPS & making everyone laugh with his antics. John as well for his driving skills, one day bud you will get a Daytime Tornado and Not Night-Time onces. Ian as well for his driving and getting me my 3rd Ticket in 4 years (Man I love Nebraska) Mr Cameron for his GPS Skills and keeping us on the right roads in the heat of the moment. Thanks also to everyone who participated this end and commented on our Photos, it is nice to know we are being appreciated when we put in 18 hour days. And to all the guests who came out and had a great time, not one arguement in 44 days and everyone getting along makes it so much easier.

Was really pleased everyone got to see a Tornado this year, Structure wise it was insane, only drawback this year was the Lightning which just did not put on a great show for us.

Colorado wins it this year for most amazing Tornadoes and Structure, Oklahoma for shear number of Tornadoes and again the Insane 19th May Outbreak. Texas also weighed in with some amazing Storms and Tornadoes. Kansas was not so kind this year but the chases we had there were top class. I have a Love for Arkansas as every time I go there we get Tornadoes, I even liked Misery more this year and had a great Chase there, Iowa for my first Iowa and June Tornado was also cool, South Dakota's terrain was mesmorising and blew everyone away with just how untouched it is. And then there is dear old Nebraska :fool::wallbash: For some reason this State hated everything we tried to do this year, from crap Hotels, even worse Food, Nightmare speed limits and cops that want to ticket you for anything, I should have known on our very first chase of the year back in April when we went over the Border and got chased straight back out by a nasty Squall line. From then on we busted 2 Moderate Risks in that state, chased 100mph Storms and even the Supercells we got on could not get anywhere near Tornadoes.

Here's to 2011 and lets hope it is as active again.

Paul S

I can only echo what everyone else has said really. I had a fantastic time chasing with the tour one guys. Everyone seemed to get on really well and even the down days were good fun. Cheers Paul, Tom, John, Arron, Harry, Michael, Andy and James. I had a great holiday with you lot!

Although we didn't get any day tornadoes we had a couple of awesome night chases. They really get the adrenaline flowing!

I must give special mention to Paul. His enthusiasm is infectious. I hope I still get as excited as he does when I have been on that many tours!

I look forward to seeing you all again. I'm sure there will be plenty of stories to be told. If anyone is hesitating about booking up for next year, let me assure you it will be a great trip. Do it!

I had the most amazing time with you guys, Paul you are a legend. Looking forward to next year if you guys will have me again.

I am looking forward to the Storm Chasing BBQ, I think we should make it more of a festival!!!

Have a great summer and see you in August!

Ok so you want to know what is in Sean's plastic bag, well I can tell you. It was a 12"£ spicey Italian sub which he says he found on the counter in a SUBWAY in Norman ,Oklahoma.

LOL. I still feel so bad about you searching for the sub in the car and thinking I must be a right bleep for not telling you where I put it. And watching you. Took me 10 mins to realize i left your sub on the counter in subway. I'll pay it forward mate :)

a link to some tornado statistics for this year to end of may this will no doubt update for each month even this fantastic season for stormchasing has had less tornados than the 10 year average for each month so far so going by that it can only get better next year see:
