The camera feed has had it so the camera pointing at bob has had it for now so we are down to three camera's. Interesting the flow rate of the Lava is the same as ever. However they don't say that's from all the events combined or the flows from the respective vents. So if it's the flow from the vents then amount being erupted is higher. From watching the cams I would think it's per vent rather than total amount.

I don't think it is.  It is part of the Commonwealth though. Most of my family live in St Vincent.  Been talking to them a lot over the last couple of days as some of them had to move from the no

Rumblings beneath Öræfajökull & Katla have been observed over the past 48hr, not enough to warrant any concern for now but its something to keep a eye on.

You're kidding they are stirring too. Let's hope it's just a little rumble.

Bob one web cams three. Pity I liked that web cam.

Katla is just doing it's normal seismic twitch. After all the fuss over Katla after Big E's eruption Katla makes news pretty quickly.  When a casual look over the eruption history over both parties really shows that since Katla erupts more frequently so pure chance meant that it erupted around the time of Big E's infrequent eruptions. At one time Mauna Loa and Kilauea were thought to be linked but it's now realised they are totally separate systems.

Activity seems to have dropped a bit today. Lava possible no longer going into Meradali due to a breakout from the cone feeding it which is sending lava in another direction.

    KILAUEA VOLCANO (VNUM #332010)
    19°25'16" N 155°17'13" W, Summit Elevation 4091 ft (1247 m)
    Current Volcano Alert Level: WATCH
    Current Aviation Color Code: ORANGE

Activity Summary: Kīlauea Volcano is erupting. Lava activity is confined to Halemaʻumaʻu with lava erupting from a vent on the northwest side of the crater. This morning, April 7, the lava lake was 225 m (738 ft) deep and remains stagnant over its eastern half. SO2 emission rates remain elevated at 850 t/day, last measured on April 5.

Summit Observations: The most recent sulfur dioxide emission rate, measured on April 5, was 850 t/day. This is elevated compared to rates in the months before the eruption started on December 20 (less than 100 t/day), but lower than emission rates from the pre-2018 lava lake (around 5,000 t/day). Summit tiltmeters recorded minor change over the past 24 hours. Seismicity remains stable, with elevated tremor.

East Rift Zone Observations: No unusual activity noted in the region. Geodetic monitors indicate that the summit and upper East Rift Zone—between the summit and Puʻu ʻŌʻō—is refilling at rates similar to those measured over the past 2 years and before the December 2020 eruption. SO2 and H2S emissions from Puʻu ʻŌʻō were below instrumental detection levels when last measured on January 7.

Halemaʻumaʻu lava lake Observations: Lava effusion from the west vent continues to supply the lava lake within Halema‘uma‘u crater. The west vent is consistently effusing lava at a low rate through a crusted-over channel and submerged inlet to the lake. Lava circulation and intermittent foundering of crust continue in the western portion of the lava lake, with lava oozing out sporadically in areas along the perimeter of the lake. The total depth of the lake is 225 m (738 ft) this morning as measured by a continuous laser rangefinder on the active western portion of the lake. Stagnant and solidified lava crust covers the eastern portion of the lava lake and is slowly growing westward.

Some twitter footage now about, it's not a small eruption! Hopefully the evacuation of the northern end of the island is near complete.

How about a lava devil which turns into a sand devil and then reaches the snow and turns into a Snow devil.

La Soufriere Volcano can be very dangerous. Pyroclastic flows killed thousands around the time that Mount Pelee first brought the pyroclastic flows to scientific attention with the destruction of Saint-Pierre.

One of my favourite chasers, purely for his wonderful footage, what's he doing in Iceland, I so want to go there my self now. To see the volcanoes with my own eyes of course.
