There's bound to be a few volcanologists around there. It's a birth. How often does that happen?

Looks like a bit of the cone has collapsed directing the flow to the right.

On the video you can see two types of Lava flow Pahoehoe lava flow and near the camera a blocky lava flow. A large flow has moev round the back of the fissure eruption and has now joined the main flow at the front. This is probably fed by feed from the original collapse of the cone the feed out of site of the web cam. Nosing of the fissure that briefly opened early yesterday night. I'm expecting the left hand side of the cone to collapse soon. The collapse a good demonstration why it's not a good idea to get to close to cone or turn your back on it.

Well either there has been another failure of the cone or the ruption has stepped up the pace. Sadly the camera was being cleaned while the new flow broke rapidly down the right hand side of the cone. It's a good demonstration that lava isn't always slow.

They should of left the camera alone just at the time the rim was breached

Seems to have eased back a little after a lively spell earlier in the afternoon. Not sure if the main cone collapsed again or the magma level rose higher enough to over flow flow. Seems to be just two vents active now the lower one more vigorous.

There's another web cam here with sound but the connection is iffy

Great time lapse love how the flow rate of the lava varies.
