A damp squib here so far, alternating between sleet and drizzle - a load of tosh! Am praying it gets better later on.

Exactly the same here mate. Still, I can't complain too much, I've had 7 days of lying snow!

I don't see much coming out of this for us in Southern Dorset now.

The PPN is just losing its intensity too easily and the only way we are likely to get anything now realistically would be if it came down VERY hard and I struggle to see where that is going to come from.

My '20% chance' looks like being just that.

About 1cm now in Wimborne, East Dorset. Surely you must be getting some in Bournemouth??

Not a flake here in Westbourne, Bournemouth. Quite windy here though. It would be great if we did get some snow, but it looks too wet to settle here now cc_confused.gif

Wow, I can see clear sky! Temperature falling, from 0.8C to 0.4C. Clear sky in the middle of a precipitation band cc_confused.gif . With the temps going the right way, just need some precipitation!

Same here at Winfrith. Where's the 8 inches of snow on the Purbeck Hills that Alexis Rogers promised

us yesterday on South Today, thats what I want to know. Thats One extreme and two severe weather warnings that

have gone completely wrong here inside a week.

Hear hear, the word 'Purbecks' last night was my possible saviour from this shambles and it's been cruelly taken away from us again

Dread the day when my kids have grown up and I'm with them when they are about 18/20 and they see there 1st ever snow, their cheers of excitement will be well embarassing!!!yahoo.gifyahoo.gifyahoo.gif

Temp and DP finally falling significally, and the ppn seems to be locally intensifying.

Hope!!

Yep, we had sleet for quite a while, it has now turned to snow and the flakes are getting bigger, it's also starting to settle. Apparently there's snow and more of it out Milton Abbas way.

Just been watching the 3rd Round FA Cup reply - Bristol City v. Cardiff.

It's in Welsh and on Ch S4C which is 134 if you have SKY HD but the funny thing is watching the professional footballers trying to play football in a snow storm.

I think if they played for 2 whole days neither team would score a goal!!

Nothing to get excited about here in SE Somerset. Temp has fallen, but is still +1.1 and DP +0.3. Several hours of very light, wet sleety stuff. Most unpleasant.
