Yet another dull day expected today. A coldish morning, down to -0.6c. There has been some light snow which has given about a cm. For all the snow that was forecast (aside from the main one) this wasn't and it actually came - oh dear.

Currently -0.1c. Maximum yesterday 1.8c.

overcast and damp with a slow thaw continuing-no idea of the rainfall overnight-some sleet late on but also rain-rainguage is still melting the snow from last week!

lowest was o.3C but there has been no ground frost for sure.

Still got a good 3 inches on the ground here and today is a vile, cold, damp day with persistent light sleet/graupel since around 09.30! The temperature has been stuck between 0.1c and 0.6c since around 17.00 yesterday and between 0.1c and 0.3c all of today so far.

Finally thawed out the snow from the gauges this morning so here's a rather late report.

Snow, mainly light, has been falling for 24 hours now adding another 6cm to the existing depth. The mean depth at 0900 was 24cm and it's now 25cm.

There's also been thick freezing fog since 1600 yesterday so everthing not covered in snow is covered with 0.5 to 1cm of rime.

Temp' currently is -0.6c, as it has been all morning. The overnight min' was -0.7c and the grass min was -0.6c but the thermometer was buried.

Rainfall ( melted snow ) in 24 hrs to 0900, 8.2 mm

Mean wind speed is 13 mph E
