Corr blimey if that bugga grows and stays easterlie we'll have a bucket load coming lol

Yeah trouble is it's turning to sleet as it hits London. You may get it as snow before it changes though. As it moves west it gets wetter and wetter. Even then I'd imagine it to amount to nothing!

Still Raining in Leigh On Sea and has been for about 2 hours now :drunk:

Positive Dewpoint not doing us any favours, enjoy the Snow further Inland later tonight, as Steve says you could end up with a surprise Cm or 2!

Still looking very good for the Re-Load, GFS Will come onside later this week of that I am sure, ECMWF Already putting down the marker. Jan 25th is my bet for the next shot as I stated this morning.

were safe mate- its to far into Kent to miss us...

Snow for the SE- sleet for the north side of the estuary- onshore wind acting as to modify the surface air by that crucial 0.5c I mentioned the other day-

Hi Paul, I don't understand what people mean when they say 're-load' - is it the Easterly back ?

Thanks

In and out again for us this evening, we need to go out 3 steps from the front door to turn the sensor light on and it is currently showing up moderate snow.

Why did it do this as I just finished ironing the school uniforms safe in the knowledge they would def. be open tomorrow,do you think this is going to give us any serious accumulations or just a sprinkling.

Snowing nicely here in Iwade, nr Sittingbourne.

Settling on cars and road.

The air now seems a little drier than earlier? Would this mean that dew points have fallen?

Temp here 0.8c

Yes this was expected as the flow turned to the east. Less sea modification, latest report from the Channel just to the east of Kent is now a dew point reading of -3.

Does the wind chill factor have any effect on whether precipitation falls as rain or snow despite actual temperature?

No, windchill only affects warm blooded animals.

Steve is right with the ESE Flow - Places that have been protected from the Seas Modification this past week are now paying the price with the flow coming straight at them, notice places facing North are getting Snow whereas Leigh and Rayleigh have Sleet and Rain, I am somewhat surprised that Benfleet are getting Snow as they are a good hundred feet lower than us.

Vesuvius the Re-Load is the Pattern re-setting in about 10 days time, eg the Mild is trying to push the Immovable Object away (Eg Scandi High) and failing at first on Tues, then re-tries on Thursday, ECMWF Has the High Winning and Strengthening the Block to bring back a re-load of NE & E winds
