yes we might get a few hrs worth as this area looks fairly large

That's 3 News24 weather forecasts in a row where Dan has refused to go beyond Monday. Obviously there are still big doubts about Tuesday's 'event'!dry.gif

Just an optimists point of view here

For anybody using today as a basis to forecast tuesday - forget it

There are such huge differences its just not possible.

The biggest difference is the flow comes from a SEly direction a much shorter distance over the channel, unlike today when as soon as we saw the e'ly feed from the north sea modification occurred

Not saying thats a guarantee of snow but its a huge difference that should not be forgotten

SK

Good point SK. But ultimately it depends how far north, into Midlands the system gets. If it stalls around BTL then your area will be in for a good dump of snow.

It could be down to time constraints rather than uncertainty... I mean if the MO are calling it they must have some degree of certainty. I mean they had today right from 5 days out... well, for this area anyway :D

Well after all the hype and promise we in Poole have an impressive total of one inch of snow from this so called memorable winter. Everything to our west north and east as usual. I could add even south as the isle of wight and certainly the channel islands have fared better. Being a snow lover and being a realist after so many years of disappointment I feel its time to hang up my netweather boots and find something more constructive to do after so much radar watching and lack of sleep only to end in abject misery. So goodbye my friends im off down the pub to drown my sorrows.

I agree! Dorset seems to be the only county with its own climate! - its shocking! - Im not taking a blind bit of notice of the MetO warning for snow Tuesday/Weds because no doubt it will be a non event yet again!, well for Dorset anyway! - Getting used to these non events now that we've had so many! :D

Sure you've tried this, but sometimes that happens to me and refresh resets it? Close it down completely and re-open if not. Apologies if you've done that already...

Cheers... Tried refresh a couple of times (which didn't work!)...

Just closed and re-started it and that seems to have done the trick!

Ta.
