Also Ribster this is coming from the East, it will hit those counties you mentioned first. It won't just jump over them.

Just had another inch in the last five minutes over here in the East....

Only joking, a very light dusting of very hard to see fine powder snow.

Had a blizzard here in the west!!

Just kidding, it was pellet type snow at first, then it turned into a light-moderate snow shower, lasted about 5 minutes!

:good:

Eveing all, we have another light snow shower atm her in Northampton (NN4), so this evening the showers have given us here a top up of around 1cm of snow. :drinks:

I realise that, but tonights forecast made it a very extreme east event, not penetrating inland. Of course that will have changed again by tomorrow. Tonight looks interesting though!

Can Cornwall have a free pass to 3C&EA? My 70yo parents drove up on 23rd December (took them 16 hours after getting stuck in Devon). Too nervous to drive back yet! They planned to go back this weekend

I'm getting more confused, we are still officially the East Midlands nea.gif

I know :drinks: Might just post in both to keep confusion at a minimum

Just having a snow shower now. Don't expect it to last long, if I'm going by the radar.

Yeah I'm actually surprised they've not split the threads up in the same way they split the regions up on the Met Website. That would officially put Northants in an East Midlands thread, Bucks in the London & South East England thread & include Suffolk & Essex in the EA Thread

Actually come to think of it, keep those dirty Suffolkers out :drinks:

And back to the weather, moderate snow now falling in The Fine City

This is the thread for me then living in bucks with all the lovely snow. Looks like alot more heading in from the east, showers are holding up and getting alot further inland than forcasted, a large block of weak precipitation is knocking on the welsh border now. pardon.gif

This is the massive shower band that hit Humber and N Lincs late afternoon, gave them a right pasting.

I never felt we were accepted as east midlanders more like that annoying little brother, this thread feels a lot more grown up already

Oi! Watch it or I'll come and poke you with my pitchfork :p

I agree the Met Office split is a good idea, though - after all, it's what it thinks reflects regional weather perceptions and it would match their warnings.

Some light snow here near Debenham btw at -4C

John
