Dont be so negative....Always expect the unexpected with the British weather ! Thats the beauty of it xx

I am about 4 miles from you, looking on the NW postcode radar at the very best we will get that dark blue 0.5 as it heads up to the West

Just don't see any action our way tonight much as would love it

I am not calling you a liar! I live in North Brighton - next to Preston Park, I have just opened my door, stood outside, looked at the lampost and felt the raindrops (quite heavy).. I would say it is more rain than sleet.

Sorry Alpine Glow , it's hard to read peoples emotions on a forum :)

But it is snowing in parts of Brighton though , so hopefully it turns for you :)

Extreme Severe Weather Warning has been received here in the Croydon Borough. 10 inches min is expected over night into tomorrow and much more into the weekend and possibly into next week too

I need to re-post this EXTREME WEATHER WARNING as the Croydon Borough has been contacted again. We are in for a real hammering due to prolonged snowfall through to the weekend and can you believe this, possibly into next week help.gifhelp.gifhelp.gifhelp.gifhelp.gifhelp.gifhelp.gifhelp.gifhelp.gifhelp.gifhelp.gifhelp.gifhelp.gifhelp.gif

started snowing here (Borehamwood) in the last minute or snow. Pellets rather than flakes but settling on the road / cars etc very quickly.

Hooray!

For those that haven't seen it, the ecm is sensational this evening!

Yep the ECM would really punch those snow showers into EA+SE, pretty stunning!

Worth noting that the Beeb are probably under-estimating the second front coming down, if it drags its heels could well see 5-10cms quite readily in Kent...

As Nick S. states, fantastic output for our area, from both UKMO and ECM.

Evening all! drinks.gif

Im somewhat confused about this cold spell wallbash.gif ! Over the weekend everything pointed to the SE/EA getting a real pasting and being the worst affect part of the country. This thread was non stop and in the others people were moaning that all the snow was going to be in the SE!

Tuesday was forcast to be Armaggedon with snow through the rest of the week. Today is tuesday and i have not seen a flake cc_confused.gif ! Having just watced the 6.25 BBC forcast they have said that the snow will stay WEST of London with up to 40cms possible, whilst the rest of EA/SE may have a few showers, with possibly a band of snow over us tomorrow lunch time.

So whats changed that much that parts of the NE/NW/SW Midlands and Scotland have seen epic snowfalls and we are still dry and cold with perhaps some snow tomorrow?

Just Curios!!

So am I. Lets face it anything could happen !

No Problem Neil South.. I have been glued to you and the other guys in the model forum since the pre-christmas snow fall - all day every day.. I'm just so glad that it has come to fruition!! drunk.gif

That was weird though.. sleety rain to full fat snow flakes in a minute.. clap.gif
