Just had about 2 hours of really heavy showers, doesn't seem to be letting up. There must be well over a foot of snow on the ground now. Husband headed out to Tesco on foot to fight over the last carton of milk!

LOL we have had heavy snow here for around 2 to 3 hours.

i cant believe how much snow we have,it just seemed to stall here and dump another load.

must have had another 3 inches since dinner time!

:cold::cold:

i really dont know what to say its STILL pummeling down lol

:nonono:

nothing bad lol weve had a fully blown blizzard for hours.

Yes, I am so pleased this band decided to stall over us and intensify! A few hours ago, it looked like there was nothing more for Manchester but once again the weather surprised us!

Yep, been the story so far. I can't begin to describe how gutted I am tbh. But, I don't want to put a downer on the thread and I think that some of the snowfalls experienced by people today have been immense

Heres just how deep it is - this is an extremely rare sight, one that might not be seen again for a long time!

Flakes are larger than pingpong balls. Added a further 3 inches in just an hour, loads more on its way, approaching 1 ft on the grass.
