Ah right, congrats mate :D

Still trying to work out what this band is doing, even when the radar shows it stopping or very light, it continues to fall heavily.

Lewis

How's it looking for tonight mate, as i haven't seen any forecast today yet?

Currently 1.4C Dew of 1.0C.

We have almost 3cm of level snow which has been falling since 9am this morning.

Still coming down fairly steadily although it is pretty light. Long may it continue! :cray:

Them showers pushing into N yorkshire become embedded in the flow of the LP system, so they will pivot too.. Come later this afternoon as the LP sinks S, we will see the winds veer true NNE and the showers will push inland, expect gusts of around 20-35mph.

6" here in Grange Moor, Nr Emley Moor, Huddersfield and still snowing has not stopped since 6.00 this morning, too deep to sledge on the hill behind my house. All kids have been out and tried and given up.

it has stopped since about 6:15am here either! the rate has been fairly consistant, just alternates between powder and big flakes, although more powder recently.

I measured 15cm not long ago, but it's put down even more since, this is nuts! :bomb::bomb:

Hope they do/wish they would. We are just about on the northern extent of the main band ATM but there are some pretty nice looking showers moving sw through Darlington and also in the North Sea which would spice things up nicely if they came into play

lovely deep snow here in shadwell/alwoodley and just started to snow lightly. Amazing scenes. and very unexpected going by yesterdays weather forecasts. Anyone have reports wht leeds city centre is like??

There is snow on all pavements in Leeds City Centre, but the footfall of pedestrians is compacting it and casuing some melting. It's slippy now, but when it freezes tonight it will be trecherous! Back home in Cleckheaton we had a light dusting of snow overnight, but then the real snow started at about 6.30am and hasn't stopped since according to my wife. A rough measurement of 6 inches has been taken by her and my son (who is off school [again!] today). Here in Leeds the snow is light and powdery but hasn't stopped all morning. Very little traffic around, although considering it took over 2 hours for me this morning, is not surprising. Unfortunately my work will not let any one go until the official home time.
