I am happy for those in the west but a teensy bit envious that we've not had much over on the eastern side of the UK. Very light snow is now falling in Lincoln after an earlier period of drizzle but there's only a small amount lying now with a bit of a thaw taking place. Current temp -1 dewpoint also -1.

Showers now coming into North Yorkshire from the North Sea. Snowing here from showers. Getting further in land than forecast.

Its funny watching the radar, the showers 15 miles north are moving slowly South West while the ones directly in line with me are moving East :yahoo:

Its Bizzare. We have had snow again now for the past half hour, not heavy, although its not light either and its getting heavier not lighter. Gievn it stoped snowing about 2 hours ago here, and there was nothing on the radar to indicate we might have got this coming back on us.

Something odd might be happening.

Defenetly 3cm.

I'm gunna go re-measure in about 30 mins as another big heavy echo is heading here, i cant believe just round the corner Hedon has only had 1cm! and other areas hardly anything :(. It's their turn tonight awell.

Lewis

Id not actually measured when I quoted that snow depth before, it was happily an underestimate. Its more like 2-3cm depending on the surface it seems.

Still snowing at present after a heavier burst over the last 15 minutes or so. Currently 0.9C with a dewpoint of -0.1C.

Ah right, congrats mate :(

Still trying to work out what this band is doing, even when the radar shows it stopping or very light, it continues to fall heavily.

MASSIVE flakes just started in Strensall after a pause of about 2 hours.

Wish the kids weren't at school as the neighbours laugh at me making a snowman on my own!
