Got some wonderful news for peeps in East Yorkshire!!

Latest radio!!! BIG dump coming at 2pm this afternoon app. and then he said tonight heavy showers coming in, and the only difference tonight he said is that the snow/showers will be very heavy :).

GET IN W00T W00T I shall declare this as SNOW DAY!

Well my starter for 10 is "when will it stop?"biggrin.gif A good 8" so far (and I'm not bragging ladies!)........ both boys at home as schools cried off and no gritters since it all startedohmy.gif .

cant believe this mate!!! havnt seen snow this bad for years! probs 13cm leveled off with odd 14cm

Well I am hoping for more than 2cm of Snow from today's weather. I hope this reaches N Lincs. ;p

Still snowing here however only lightly biggrin.gif New warning issued for us

"Further heavy snow showers are likely this afternoon giving an additional 3 to 6cm. Untreated roads and pavements are likely to stay very icy through the rest of today.

The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the Highways Agency for further advice on traffic disruption on motorways and trunk roads.

Why is the temperature rising? 1.7 now!

we just had that! its back down to 1.4c now! how much you got? think youve got like 2-3cm more than here

Looking at that I see South Yorkshire and the northwest are not in the orange warning areas??? Inexplicable! :yahoo:

mate this has to be the best event since 1991!!!! i woke up at 9am and was like i bet its only 3cm and woke up and it was already 8cm! been snowing heavily from 9am till 11am and had to drive through town! was amazing :yahoo:

I'm gunna go re-measure in about 30 mins as another big heavy echo is heading here, i cant believe just round the corner Hedon has only had 1cm! and other areas hardly anything :(. It's their turn tonight awell.

im pleased for you folks further north and west of here. seems to be sat about 50 miles north of me.

we got a dusting this morning on top of saturdays dusting so 5mm of snow with 5mm of ice underneath now.

looks like my area won't see much this time round so maybe tomorrow onwards will fair better...i would like to beat the 5" we got last feb as that was the most I have ever seen in person. before christmas came close at 4 and a half inches...so heres hoping by te end of the week :good:

There's 3½ to 4 inches of lying snow here, with more light snow falling and a temperature of 0.4ºc.
