Pepping up nicely in the south west now, just hitting the coast according to the radar.

Like I'm going to believe some pixels on the internet. We all know that people lie when it comes to snow amounts - it's the meteorological equivalent of penis size. Add on a few inches or shave the topiary for an optical gain.

lol very good

Had enough of the snow?

Want to look at green grass and the odd half melted icy puddle?

Then come to Wrexham...the snow desert of North Wales and all your dreams will be made a reality!

<_<

Yep- that's the good stuff!

I wonder if the hook of precipitation is where that low is forming. If it is, it's further west than was progged...

Just speculation. Any thoughts?

:wallbash:

And Merthyr... 1cm of patchy melting slushy snow outside.

Seems to be easing off a little here nr Aberystwyth - cloud is retreating to the west (leaving a blue sky in it's wake!), but the snow is falling from the west.

Sucks doesnt it? Especially when you get the media ramming the fact that such and such a place has been buried under a bloody foot of snow etc...

To be honest I reckon the breakdown (when it comes) will deliver more in the way of snow (albeit short-lived) than this "cold spell" has.

Still no persistent snow in NE Wales. Looks like it won't get here until after dark now.

Seems to be stronger just at or just off the coast i think.

Apparently no sign of any snow at home in Machynlleth...

Looks like I'm here 'til 5 then. ;)

Don't worry too much about the forecast- in a situation like this, they're out of date by the time you see them.

Log on to the 'raintoday' radar and watch where the snow is and the direction in which it's heading.

IMO the precipitation is being pulled by in to S Wales by a developing circulation.

I still think we're (SW Wales) in for several hours of heavy snow.

I think it's looking good, real good in fact.

I really can't see any reason why all that precipitation isn't going to head this way.
