Scotland Cold Spell Discussion Part 14

I knew the second I posted that it would sound stupid! I meant the bright pink/orange in the sky isn't so bright and the moon isn't out either.

I don't think the moon rises until later on this evening, so I hope it's not out too!! :p:)

Where did that come from. Just appeared suddenly south of the Forth. Wasn't expecting anything until later.

Maybe CMD or Mondy can help with this one but is that a (Shhhh!! PL) developing just South West of the Faroes

I don't think so. Although there is a long band of showery looking activity heading that way which did have swirly bits in it earlier :p

But no polar low.

Edit: Having said that, it is exactly the same swirl which I was watching earlier, let this sat loop load up and click and hold the pointer at the top to watch it move over time. If you rewind from the swirl over the Faroes it looked good east of Iceland at just after 10am.

Yes have been watching that area

Really muddled on here with all the different threads.

This place has lost the good chat it used to have, really dont like the separation!

Very interesting development, however i fear its gonna track to the west of Ireland!

It seems to be forming into something swirly and big and also dragging that big lump from the North of the Shetlands along with it.

Are you sure it's not a Polo!! :help:

I doubt we'll see much here tonight, though that big lump to our northeast might pay us a visit by tomorrow morning. Here's hoping anyway.

I have excellent snowboots...as long as the buses are running. Wind getting a bit gusty so the snow is blowing about. Settling on the main road now as well.
