A serious ice day which started at -6c with thich frost, frozen ground and freezing fog Crystallized fog crystals fell as it lifted to mist and, despite unbroken sunshine from 09.00-15.00 the temperature never got above the maximum of -1.4c!

At dusk it is misty though clear and the temperature has already dropped to -2.6c!

2nd day with -1.3c max not as cold as last january coldest day sunny with a light NW turned west/SW now..

-4.2c already though snow melt in the sun today very little indeed.

A min of -7.4c last night which goes as the coldest night since december 2005.
