Guest North Sea Snow Convection

Still have patchy light snow covering from the 2cm snowfall on New Years morning. Since early evening there have been light snow flurries and a dusting of flakes over cars and road surfaces. Hopefully a bit more to come tonightsmile.gif

We will still get quite a lot of snow from Tuesday night for about 48 hrs non stop and then a slight pause and then more snow. that can't be bad in my books.

IF that is going to be the case then yes I'd agree. Just hope I see it too ;-)

Bloody BBC Look East they just showed the cold front coming down and then showed it falling as rain over north norfolk, come one it's snowing now

Take no notice of Look East, they haven't a clue. They always downplay it. The Snow is coming don't worry about that.:cold:

Good to hear it has to be said, cloud cover from the shower heading up the thames has really prevented temps from dropping to ofar so my location tomorrow will probably get upto around 2-3C, further inland, esp the Midlands, I can only imagine an ice day is on the cards up there.

RMC I think Slough does almost as badly as Bracknell does.

Full moon here or full to the eye at least.

18z does reduce the snow risk next Friday. Ensembles in agreement with that too.

As LeighShrimper says max depths around the Southend area are about 1cm so not so shabby for a start to Cold Spell Part 2.

Neil I would have thought you might scrape 3 Inches (7-8cm) by the time the last dregs of that shower train has passed through, which again is a great start.

Anyone think by next weekend we might be on Part 50 :yahoo::yahoo::D

Winds in North Kent have now swung around more Northerly in the last hour so places like Hythe and Folkestone might get an extra surprise in the next 1-2 hours if that big shower near Whitstable and Herne can hold it together.

Amazing to think Southend got a cm and my location didn't even get a single flake, both showers decayed right before reaching my location, thats why my location needs a slightly stronger flow then we have currently.

Saying that still very cold but cloud cover is preventing temps from going down too much, typical! :yahoo:

My Kids would get to School even if I had to hire a Snow plough!!

You can actually hire them from snow-plows-direct.com..................think they are American though.

Being off School, college again due to the Weather is enough to make any Mother wince.
