Although this is nowhere near the heaviest snow Inverness has had (2006 and 2003 beat this easily), it's certainly the longest cold spell of this decade.:cold:

STILL snowing in Inverness and lots of heavy showers to come looking at the radar.

All missing Fife! Boring! News 24 weather forecast looks boring for here today and tomorrow as well.

If you ask me, this cold spell has been hugely disapointing for snow lovers in Aberdeen. Okay, we have a good snowfall on the morning of the 22nd Dec but since then all we've had is rain showers, little thaws here and there and just a lame few snow grainshowers overnight today.

All I've heard on the weather reports past few days ishow snow showers will particularly affect North East Scotland - it is just me or is Aberdeen not NE Scotland! When's it gonna arrive!!!:unknw: ?

Don't steal too much of them now ! That last one did a decent job here in Leith, nicely whitened up the grassy areas and probably even better up town. We could use 2 or 3 of these

Fife has gone back to being the snowless capital of Scotland, with the light shower this morning being the only addition to our snow today.

Currently over 35cms of level snow, it has n"t stopped all morning, side roads almost impassable, curretly 0c and now finding it difficult to open gates into fields to feed sheep. No sign of a let up in longest cold spell in many years

Lots of nice little showers coming down from the Tay here. Topping up what has been here for 2 weeks now with only 2 or 3 days where it has actually got above freezing. What a good place to be. biggrin.gif

We've been luckier over here in Inverclyde. Some very light flakes about 40 minutes ago, but no big dump yet. Well, not since this morning.
