Looks like the band is nearly clearing Southern Wales, wow what a non-event here.

Back to rain in Merthyr. Getting past New Tredegar will be fun in the way home and i don't have a clue what highest point is like.

Hoping for more of it tonight hopefully further NE towards the borders

Cheers mate.

Im on the 'Cameras'; 'Will it rain today' and this forum like a crack addict.

Will make the descison (sic) to go home very soon. If Tredegar is llike that then the Highest Point could be worse

Take my word for it... Tredegar is very bad and Brynmawr will be worse. MetO flash warnings for heavy snow extended until 3am.

There is more rain than snowflakes, even though the snowflakes are very big

It was all snow here for a time, but reverted back to heavy sleet now.

Puddles starting to appear in Garden, not at all promising for today now.

However more chances toward weekend.

Crikey - here I am seeing the biggest snowflakes I have EVER seen - they are massive! They are easily bigger than golf balls! What does that mean as a rule? Colder air - big convection going on?
