I think I would rather be in a definite no-snow area, than be on this blasted knife-edge all the time. It's getting very uncomfortable on here. :D

My temp just rose again. wallbash.gif 2.4c i hope the cold air gets it act together and cools us all down.

Still just drizzle here and that heavy ppn is going to miss us altogether so I am not quite sure where that flood warning for the rest of west country is coming from?

Normal service has resumed on Dartmoor.

It has been pouring for hours, and its still pouring. Ever wondered what its like to live on a giant sponge? Move to Dartmoor.

It's all really rather tedious. But not wholly unexpected.nonono.gif

That said, the temp has dived 2c in the last 30mins from 5.4C to 3.3C... curious.

I've had a quick look in the other regional threads..........Scotland seems to be having some light snow, but otherwise it's the same old grumbles as here.....rain and no snow! Everyone seems a bit dejected. :)

Im sure Im seeing the odd fine snow flake from my patio door.

The Lecky and Crickley hills look misty white,I take it that is snow so might head up there on foot in a bit with video and camera.

This is what I love about the forum a 'totally normal comment'

My partner is odd, she would prefer to stay in the warm, if I see a bit of sleet where I am later ill get in car and head off to Brill Hill , 6 miles away and at 600ft

Cant think of anything better

Hi mate,

I cant take my car as it's a Mazda MX5 it would truly get stranded.

So a long walk for me..what a adventour!!

But I have all camera's on standby with batteries on charge.

I think James..aka Trickey is covering Cleave Hill pic's and me Devil's chimney over to crickley if i can walk that far in the blizzard's..lol

temp drop again, now 3,2

Drizzly rain in Gloucester - but Im not actually disappointed as I decided after the recent bitter let downs not to believe what the Meto / BBC were forecasting and looks like I was justified in that.

hmm looking briefly at the model thread i am detecting downgrade all around us for the next few days so I think i may just call it a day at 12o clock if there is no sign because it is looking poor. dry.gif

The colder air has to get down here sooner or later... doesn't it? This is worse than the last cold spell, at least that was actually 'cold'.

It really bugs me that NW doesn't do a 'regional' forecast especially at times of interest. But ho hum.

No work til the 4th, so plenty of time to build an ark...

Morning dogs - I'm up in Northleach - the last lot of snow only melted day before yesterday, so a bit surprised at what has happened so far today.

all the best,

Phil.

i can confrim it is snowing on cleeve Hill and settling in places probably more so on the top but just what i heard from a friend who lives near the rising sun, although it's light and we really need the heavy stuff soon. i doubt i will go up as i have a lot of essays to do. has been sleeting in cleeve but now has virtually stopped, not a bad thing though it allows the ground to dry up a little

Trying to sleet here, but temp gone up to 3.4c from 2.9 earlier. Just a pity that yesterday

was not a cold dry day, then all of this rain would have been snow :( But I'm sure the

general public are glad that it's not too bad. Wether or not that changes later....we'll have to

see :(

Hi mate,

I wouldnt worry about it yet,the main show is for later as heavy PPN takes hold and as far as I know form's like a conveyour belt effect.

Pulling in the colder wind and air,

plenty of time yet!

If I get to 21.00hrs then for me the shows over but until then I think plenty

of thing's to happen.

unless met do a downgrade,as they have more technical equipment than us...

Hopfully,

so nice white reports from you later :(

18mm of rain since midnight and counting... that would of been an impressive snowfall.
