Precipitation was never forecast to intensify as it progresses northward.As it encounters the cold air so it will fade,and move n/e. Lots of oppertunities left though

actually it was because the forecasts had it weakening over the central midlands and then intensifying over north midlands and northern england hence the 5-10cm and persistant snow forecast but it seems not!! I'm sorry but no need for any weather warnings west of A1.

Snowing moderately here. Everywhere white over including the main roads! Temp currently -0.1c. Looking at the radar the precipitation should be around for at least another 30mins or so

Snow seems to have virtually stopped now. The road will probably be clear again by the morning, but we have had a nice top up (2cms maybe?) I might go out and check

no because it wont happen too far away n will change.they cant even forecast a few hours in advance nevermind 168hours

So we have 9-10cms on grass currently. So another 2cm added from this snow band. Not bad, but I hoped for more

Still snowing mind you, albeit lightly now.

looked at the radar, ppn on my doorstep, but taking its time to move up to me
