Oh that's the reason I want the showers to miss, I got a nice covering this evening and I am worried that the showers will be rain/sleet/very wet snow, ruining my nice new covering!

That's my concern! However it still looks pretty cold up to Christmas day. So any showers would still be wintry in nature. The higher up you are the better! :p

Pure snow falling here after that last shower, temp is actually gone up abit when it stopped at 0.4c.

No sign of any thawing,a few odd small flakes at that temp.

May just get one more post in tomorrow.

Otherwise Merry snowy christmas :p

Christmas Greetings from Halesowen!

Just had a brief light shower of sleet.

Not done anything though, still got the few cms of snow covering. :D

nick has that shower hit u yet

Don't think so. Looking at the NW radar I think it missed me. Didn't hear any rain on the window so it was either snow or nothing!

Looks like it will miss me, which may be a blessing in disguise. In which case I had better head to bed before my keyboard becomes my pillow! Goodnight all, and Merry Christmas if some of you aren't online tomorrow...I definitely will be :)

Well it snowed heavily here for an hour or so.. now a lot of slush on top of the lethal icy pavements - lovely! Feels warmer though - the thaw is on the way...

Fog swirling round my lampost. Earlier you could hear the woods rattling, either with the thaw or sleet? Sounded weird either way...

If only the frost would harden for a couple more days...

Could have done without the wet tonight, spoilt what was otherwise looking like a good, albeit increasingly compact covering into Christmas day! Okay, so there still will be snow on the ground but I just feel like I've been mugged.

I can't get that annoyed though, because I suppose for once in Northants we were on the wrong side of marginal. So I the morning I now must hunt the dog poo that has been entombed for the last 6 days. But it has now dropped back below freezing and there is, in fairness still 2-3 inches+ of ice to chip away at dog turds. What fun.

Sods law says now the funs over i'll get a nice little icey dusting of poo coated fun. Oh baby waking up... must go.

As usual, no snow here. So looks like that brief wet stuff we had at the beginning of February is it for 2009.

At least it's mild :whistling:

Be very careful if out driving and especially walking, horrendous conditions out there with black ice patches on pavements and roads, i almost broke my neck while out walking earlier :whistling:

I'm still young ish though so managed to stay upright but for elderly people its a nightmare so all you over 50`s please beware.

At least it's mild

Yeah so mild my pond is frozen and there is ice everywhere on the streets, strange idea you have of mild, maybe you had one two many last night :)
