8 days of lying snow, 4 ice days one with a max of -4c, min night temperature of -9c and 15 cms of refrozen snow which is like concrete. Snow has fallen on 5 days.Max temperature in the last 8 days has been +1c, Icicles up 2 feet long hanging from the roofs. Ground was frozen hard 2 weeks ago with temperatures of -7c at night and no snowcover but it is the very low daytime maxs just now that is preserving the snow cover. We have not seen this for years despite being only a few miles from the sea.

Well in response to Jackone's request.

Here in East Lothian (south east Scotland) we've had snow on the ground since 17th December and unbelievably unlike recent winters, its still holding firm.

We have a slight rise in temps over the last couple of days to max of +2/+3 and some severe night frosts, down as low as -11.

Today we have had rain, sleet and wet snow in abundance this morning and still the snow refuses to budge, low ground temps are still holding the snow.

We have had 6" of snow as the biggest snowfall, but snow falling on mosts days since 17th! Fantastic stuff and much more to come in the next week!!! :D
