Just started snowing here in Colchester, quite heavy, very dry powdery snow atm!

Now I know we are nowcasting at the moment, but the BBC has for Reigate the 'heavy snow' graphic on Monday! How accurate at this stage do you think this is?

Large flakes about 50p size starting to fall in Uxbridge.

Heavy burst here in Rickmansworth has covered the areas that had been cleared or melted previously.

Only about 1cm to date on top of snowfields of about 7-10cms

It was down to the west- quite a few more have cropped up - but there orange~ only 40cm per hour

Started snowing here about 10 minutes ago, moderate to heavy, temperature is -0.4c

Temperature must be slowly on the rise then.

The more it travels eastwards, the more the temperature will rise as the triple point moves closer and hence the warm sector.

The front is also developing a bit of hangback at the moment -- so as the front moves SE the leading edge moves but the hangback is still developing in the same spot....

looking godd at the moment- very good for Luton....
