23cm (9 inches) in the back garden at Queensbury, West Yorkshire at present, more than that in the fields higher up - over a foot in parts.

This is the level snow, drifts are deeper still.

Around 1ft of snow here which is remarkable considering how that we are near the town centre and around 12 miles from the coast. Excellent three weeks of cold weather.

Yes this truly has been an exceptional spell of wintry weather for the North in particular, half my garden hasn't seen the light of day for nearly 3 weeks!

22cm here, 2cm fresh has fallen this evening now that the showers have started again. Very variable across Newcastle, some suburbs have a foot, some have closer to 4 inches whilst I have 8 inches.

Only 12cm here last time I measured, having said that other parts of town only a mile away look to have nearer 20cm!

Heh "only" 12cm, "only" 21 days snow, poor me eh?

Got 1ft of snow in Stanley.

Can't believe this is the 21st consecutive day of snowcover and we have a foot of snow and it's snowing now. With the cold set to continue surely we can manage a month of snowcover up here which is something I wouldn't have dreamt of before this winter!

Average depth of undrifted snow here is 19.5cm. Buxton has about 24cm and at 140m around here there's 14cm.

Little fresh snow here recently. Today, is the 21st consecutive day with lying snow at 0900hr!

Average snow depth at 0900hr, 12cm in my garden and 6cm to 6.5cm in a nearby field. A fresh to strong northerly wind during the early hours caused lying snow in the fields to drift across the access road which runs east-west through Baintown, partially blocking the road this morning. Average depth of drifting snow, 57cm. Snowdrift max depth, 73cm- the deepest drifts since February 2001, which were much bigger!!

Guildford, Surrey.

Snow depth was 9~12 cm at 11:30 am increasing to 15~17 cm by 6 pm.

These depths were taken as an average. There were a few pockets of 18 cm depths but seldom less than 15 cm away from treated roads and disturbed snow in gardens etc.

My parents reported 15cm from Cleadon- and it's entirely believable given that depths oscillated between 9 and 12cm from New Year's Day until I left for Norwich, and they've had a good couple of inches from this afternoon/evening's snow showers. That is easily the deepest since at least February 1991 (I'm not sure of the exact depth Cleadon reached in February 1991, except that it was well over 10cm).

In Norwich just a paltry 3cm, but I sense there may be more to come, and of course it's in East Anglia and the SE where the cold continental air will hang on for longest.

Approximately 18cm of level snow settled during the course of Tuesday evening and during the day on Wednesday. Quite remarkable. :good:
