Spent the day around Leeds today, left home in Normanton West Yorks with about 3cm

Deepest Snow was up at Wetherby about 2"

Dreadful driving conditions off the main roads

Not been above 0oF all day

Roads became silly after about 3pm due to temp falling and slush turning to ice

Roll on Winter and some proper snow

Band of heavy precipitation crossed Cleadon this evening. It started with sleet and some thawing of existing snow cover, then turned to heavy snow with whiteouts at times, but it was always very wet/marginal, limiting the extent of accumulations. I'll check again tomorrow morning, but I think we have about the same as we had to begin with (5cm).
