Only -4c here this morning after falling to -7c at 11.00pm last night so its getting milder. In spite of this ground is now iron hard and could be very icy if we get rain as forecast for tomorrow

Sprouts and parsnips in the garden will be excellent for Christmas if we can get them out of the ground in time.

10th ground frost of the year here (assuming I consider one night time period to run to 9am, otherwise it's about seventeen) with a low of -0.6C. Currently a Joan Bakewell sort of day - cold (1.2C), grey but bright.

Morning TM,

Oh well, you should be compensated soon, I would imagine once the cold air begins to dig in next week, the roles will be reversed, you will catch up, maybe even daytime sub zero by Thursday / Friday for you area.
