eastern Scotland - snow Thursday morning and evening into Friday possibly? Not to mention Saturday onwards etc. I'll think we'll do ok for snow somehow.

You will from the weekend, but East Anglia and the South East will get the first big falls on Thursday into Friday

H there. Is it me or is the BBC weather just not matching up at times. They say 10c on Christmas day for my area which is a MASSIVE temp jump for 48 hours time.

What's your thoughts ?

Widespread snow is being talked about if next weeks models come off but the Netweather Forecasts show +3C and sleet for me at least. Are the forecast not keeping up or are the indications that this is an event that will be for the north of the country only?

Im not sure that anything very cold the models have shown over the past couple of weeks has come off.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

Week Ahead: Cool but largely dry until later in the week, when low pressure returns

We keep a chilly northerly flow going through much of the coming week, especially noticeable in the east. Cloud and rain spreading south Monday, but after that, most places largely dry until later in the week, when it looks to turn more showery. Read the full update here
