Netweather - The Early Days

Recommended Posts

Came across a good site today.

The Internet Archive is a non-profit digital library of archived webpages and has around 150 billion webpages archived from back in 1996 to recent times. It features a 'wayback' machine where you can enter an old website address and it gives you a list of archived webpages from it.

You know you are getting old when the internet contains 'nostalgia' mellow.gif

For example - here is a webpage from July 2003. NetWeathers' fledgling months, where we had nearly a whole 200 members!

http://web.archive.o....uk/index.shtml

You can browse the forum thread headers too but sadly the individual posts are not archived...

List of archived pages

http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://net-weather.co.uk

(the old net-weather.co.uk site)

The main website for the archive project is http://www.archive.org/index.php

To find an old site just type the addy into the wayback box.

Strangely addictive. Maybe I have too much time on my hands whistling.gif

Enjoy!
