Surpised that this thread hasn't started yet.

I don't have the CET figures for November - could someone post these , but use this thread to discuss your November CET predictions.

I think it is a very difficult call this year, I'll give my prediction later next week, a fairly unsettled month is probable though.

CET average for November is 6.9ºC (1971-2000) or 6.5ºC (1961-1990).

Last year came in at a rather average 7.0ºC.

If the sun just went away we would still have the heat of oceans, land Earths core etc so -270c would be decades away

Has it?

Only two months have been more than 1.0c above average, most has been around 0.6c to 0.8c. A mild year, but i wouldn't say it was very mild unknw.gif

Thought I'd better get my punt in early before I forget. I think November might start of rather mild but cooler towards the end, so I'll go for a near average 6.7°C

Very mild. Quite wet, particularly in the west. Very limited frost and snow. Perhaps chilly south-easterlies late in the month.

I don't agree with all the mild CET guesses, the transition to colder conditions begins next week with unsettled windy cooler weather then from around the 15th turning quite cold and winter like with either a southerly tracking jet with slack lows giving night frosts or a blocked picture with transient northerlies and anticyclonic conditions.
