The afternoon saw much clearer and brighter weather spread in to the area, though with a rather strong south westerly wind. Temp has settled at around 15.5c at present, just hovering a bit above and below that for the last hour or so. Generally recorded the highest temps at around 3pm in recent weeks, so due to the clocks going back thats likely to be in the next hour or so. Guess might manage to sneak up to 16c before the temps start to drop a little.

Cloud has burnt back a bit now, we're back to more blue sky than cloud, currently 15.4c

Real winters day here dark all afternoon with heavy wetting drizzle and low cloud down to below 600 feet. Ground absolutely saturated after several days rain. Back to wellies and waterproof leggings on the farm. Mud everywhere roll on some frost and low humidity arctic air to dry it all up. Currently 9c.

Oh dear, it only turned out slightly better than yesterday.. had hoped to see some glimmer of brightness this afternoon, alas all we got was on and off outbreaks of rain from dawn till dusk and a very early dusk indeed, bit of a shock to the system with low cloud this afternoon and overcast skies it quickly became dark by 4.30pm and pitch black by 5.15pm, how grim knowing we have 2 more months of ever decreasing light... feels like we have descended into the depths of mid winter... curse the mild tropica maritime airstream it brings absolute rot to this part of the country.. it has felt like a december day regardless of the mild air.
