It's quite cloudy here at the moment, in all honesty I cannot see much clearance this evening. I think it's going to be disappointing tonight, in terms of temperatures and besides the GFS wants to bring in an area of cloud overnight anyway.

It's actually almost all cleared here! 12.8c too, it's 3c colder than it was this time yestersay. I say, we could be in for a colder night than last night Stephen!

well its 11c sadly with wall to wall sunshine and hopefully if the temps drop like it will when the sun goes down we may get to say 5c before it clouds over which would be good as it wouldnt reach over 10c tomorrow due to rain and cloud... (probably will)

A mainly cloudy day with some sunny breaks,since though the cloud has moved with lots of sun coolest day of the autumn so far at 10.8c and still only the coolest day since June 7th,still a way to go!

Dropped 0.5c in the space of 11 mins, not seen it drop that fast before. Currently 12.3c with clear blue skies. Will cloud over in around an hour unfortunately.

Its been dull and over cast for hours here now with just the odd glimpse of the sun from time to time.

Yeah I don't hold much hope of this cloud clearing tonight either, looking at the sat images it's just piled in from the North Sea which I suppose isn't surprising considering the time of year. On the whole it's been a cool day though, only managed a max of 11.3°C, nothing to shout about but at least we're leaving behind the teens now.

9°C is not bad for the time of year, but not surprising considering he's nearly 300m absl! lol Gets me thinking though, when will we get the first day with widespread maxes into single figures at low levels?

It's crazy, despite the wind direction the cloud seems to be going up north instead of heading down south!

It's because the cloud wasn't forecast. It was meant to be the coldest night of the year tonight but with this cloud coming in off the north sea, no chance.

Wunderground is wrong though, dew point of -4c here is wrong, it even got the temperature wrong by 0.3c.

You still might, but it will certainly be closer to 0C tonight unless the cloud moves in prematurely. 7.5C now.. it should pull up eventually it's just the reponse to the cloud clearing - you'll probably get the same once the cloud clears properly.

A 1c drop in 11 mins? That's pretty impressive Stephen, what was your maximum today? Also which way is the cloud clearing? I'm West of you I think, knowing my luck when the cloud clears the temperature will rise! !!
