Can someone explain to me where this cloud came from? It rolled in about 3am and kept my temperature at 6.3c min! That is really fustrating as I was expecting a frost last night, and a nice sunny day today! :D

Currently 8.6c and overcast.... I hate living in northwest england... The weather sucks.

Clear early last night and temps fell away quickly but at some point the cloud rolled in and stoipped us getting any lower than 4.7 which is a bit frustrating after what looked quite promising for a frost and possibly an air frost. Currently mostly cloudy and slight breeze from the NE.

Much of the cloud actually went to the east of me, I guess I caught some though. Actually about midnight the temperature suddenly pulled up in clear skies and start rising.. there was no breeze (really), so it was baffling. I've come to the conclusion that it's caused by a rise in humidity being by the coast, but that's it..

Did you see what happened at Prestatyn? it was 11C at midnight, and by 6am this morning it was 3.7C, that's a remarkable drop for coastal site.

Yeah, it will do that every day until around mid November, it's because the sun is still quite strong and will heat the air very quickly!

Maybe it's because all of Prestatyns surrounding areas are all highlands and mountains so the low cloud would of been ripped to shreads i guess, I agree that the sea would of played an important role, I dont see how it dropped 8c in 7 hours though, my nan lived in Prestatyn last year and the temperature never dropped like that before... Strange! Is this cloud going to clear from here tonight?

It's quite cloudy here at the moment, in all honesty I cannot see much clearance this evening. I think it's going to be disappointing tonight, in terms of temperatures and besides the GFS wants to bring in an area of cloud overnight anyway.
