I've never started a thread here before....hope this one is acceptable!!

So, what was Number 1 in the charts on the day you were born? (If you are over 6o-ish it might be a bit difficult, but most of us should squeeze in. :D )

Number 1 on the day I was born was........Dean Martin... "Memories are made of this". Cool, eh? :D

Ahhh...then I shall retract the snigger. Being a student in the city of the other team involved that day and all. I must say, I didn't even realise that was number one on my birthdate. Thought it was something else.

I used the Wikipedia list, and it gives me a different result! Noggin's link gives you the biggest selling single of the week you were born (i.e. the number one for the Sunday after you were born) where the one I've given is the song actually on top of the chart on the day. Like I said in my post, I thought it was something else.
