Hi all, we've been making some changes to the structure and personnel on the team in recent weeks, and are now ready to put our plans into action!

Firstly, it's a great pleasure to let you know that we've have welcomed three new members into the forum team, they are Coast, Jethro and Reef - they've been with us for the last couple of weeks learning the ropes and have just been turned blue this morning.

On the flipside of that, Multi Cellular Thunderstorm (Mark), has decided to stand down from the team for now as he's not been able to get online as much as he would like of late, it's a shame to see him go and I'd just like to publicly thank him for his time and efforts while he's been on the team.

As well as our new faces, we've also decided to split the team into sub-teams so that our team members can specialise in the specific areas they spend the most time in and enjoy the most. So if you have a question or issue you want to raise about a particular part of the forum, your first port of call can be one of the specialists for that area. The new structure is as follows:

General weather discussion (Seasonal forum, Storms, General weather, forecast forum)

Pottyprof

Snowmaiden

Paul Sherman (storms mainly)

Reef (seasonal mainly)

Coast

Ross B

Jackone

Climate and science

ThunderWintryShowers

Pete Tattum

Jethro

Worldwide

Kold Weather

Coast

CanadianCoops

Photography

Ross

Community groups and retreat

Cakie

M'Lady

Louby

Coast

Reef (Serious discussion)

As well as this, we're very keen to change the focus of the team from what has often tended to be more of a troubleshooting only role into a wider set of roles which revolve more around facilitating discussion and the growth of the community in more positive and pro-active ways. So if you ever have what you think could be a great idea for discussion or a forum related project, or have feedback or thoughts on anything related to the community at all, please let us know - we're here to support you and the community as a whole in whatever way we can.

If you have any questions or comments please feel free to post them up - all that's left for me to say is, good luck to our new team members!!

Paul

Thanks for the welcome Paul.

I hope to keep things light, polite and topical. Having now seen what goes on behind the scenes, I can attest to how much hard work the team have put into this forum to keep it informative and focused.

Looking forward to working with everyone, if you have any suggestions or comments that will help maintain this sites position as the best weather forum on the net, please give us a shout!

Was anyone online the day Mondy "took charge" of the forum in late 2004. I still think the original mod team are picking up the pieces since then.ph34r.gif

Glad to see OON isn't back in a blue or red guisewhistling.gif Is Wibs still a "team player/member"? She had the cutest derriere, if I recall air_kiss.gif

Congratulations to the new Mods.

I've been here 4 years this month and this forum will not be the same without your hard work. There is truly no other ''well kept'' forum out there that i've found yet. :cc_confused:

You did a wonderful job Mondy. Didn't you start on the 1st of April that year.

May I just concur with the other members on here to congratulate the promoted. (But wait until Winter!! Then you may have your work cut out. Ha ha haaaa!! I was a moderator once but seriously, good luck!) ;-)

Back from a 10 day break in Exmouth. (Sandy Bay to be exact!) No-one told me it would be that hot and sunny down there last week. I look like an immigrant with the tan! mellow.gif

I don't know, I'm off here for circa 6 months and all hell breaks loose! In all honesty, good luck to you all, having been on here for a number of years and witnessed the comings and goings, highs and lows, you all have your work cut out. I am sure you'll all continue to keep things ship shape.
