well the sat picc this morning promised decent cloud breaks through the afternoon and that is just what has happened-plenty of blue sky now-the sheet of Sc clear and just small amounts of shallow Cu but a coolish NE breeze.

Suprisngly after a mostly cloudy morning there were some sunny breaks in the afternoon. As TWS mentioned earlier it seemed like the cloud took on a more convective nature instead of the traditional flat sheet you usually get when the wind is from the North Sea. It remained quite cool though with a keen wind, the maximum temperature was 16.0C.

Currently mostly cloudy and 13.5C.

Much more cloud about today compared to recent days, however, we did see some sunny breaks from time to time but in the main it was a largely cloudy affair. A slight chill in the air thanks to NE breeze, but the main aspect is the consistent dry weather, it is six days on the trot with no rain, one thing I have noticed with high pressure over the past year or so is that when it has made its influence felt it has hung around for a while i.e. 10-14 days giving very dry conditions (think back to late Dec early Jan, also mid-late Feb, early May and late June/early July, this one is looking no exception.
