A lovely day - now 18.3c with scattered clouds. Long may it continue!

Seems odd that the council have decided today was the day to turn the heating back on again - so around the building I go switching off radiators!

Yes why cant we produce synoptics like now when it matters, its just a little late now for proper widespread warmth, it felt freezing this morning, once the sun gets high it obviously feels warm but out of the sun it feels chilly especially in that brisk northeasterly wind, i'm sure last night some rural valleys in the midlands got very close to 0C.
