Fresh to strong southerly wind here already, mild 16c. A question for the more knowledgeable on here are these the equinoxal gales arriving early?

A lot of farmers will be tearing their hair out this morning as there are still a lot of very ripe cereal crops to cut in this area and after being battered by the rain last week they are now very brittle. Combines were sinking in the saturated soils trying to rescue them. If we get the gales forecast for today many heads and seeds will be stripped or thrashed from the straw and end up on the ground where they cannot be retrieved and so will be a total loss.

Very cloudy at present, muggy feeling, 18.2c currently, not much of a breeze yet. BBC has the cloud breaking late morning, NW's online forecast says it could remain pretty cloudy until early afternoon. Will see what is more accurate as the day progresses.

BBC say 27c in London today, I'll guess it will be 24-25c high around these part today.

An unusual mixture: windy, and getting wetter, but also bright and quite warm, 20C...

Not particularly pleasant conditions at the moment. Fairly light intermittent rain has been falling over the past hour and the clouds are quite low at times making for misty murky conditions on quite low ground. Expecting the rain to pep up during the next few hours, however, so far their is little wind about.

It is feeling very muggy and close courtesy of the warm humid tropical maritime air, pity, once again we are not on the best recieving end of it..

Looking forward to the upcoming dry spell, I'm preety sick and tired of the wet dull misery we have endured in past weeks.
