Flakes of snow falling...

Another fall of snow sometime during the early hours, topped up the covering from earlier.

A nice good 2 inches or so here.

Sky news say another band of snow will come down in the afternoon, But BBC say there wont be.

:p

I hope sky is correct and BBC are wrong.

We have snow on the ground here that has fallen over night. A couple of cms I would guess but I have not ventured out to check yet!

Snow showers died out in Lancaster during the early hours; we ended up with 2cm.

Interestingly, in North East England where I come from, it sounds like inland parts of the region (Newcastle, Durham) got a dumping, but the coastal strip (South Shields, Tynemouth, Sunderland) started off with heavy snow but then the coastal warming came into play, giving them no more than Lancaster got.

A nice thick covering overnight in Norwich-darn airport clearing machines going for ages!

Woke up to light snow again, but it has stopped now and sunny spells are coming through. However clouds are building again.

Well we got about 2 inches but the roads are really dangerous with all the ice as well, so I'm staying home today. Which is bad cos I don't get paid (contracting  ) but I do get to enjoy the snow :D

It's just started another blizzard and the temp has gone up to -0.4c from -1.2c earlier

Off to take my son sledging 8)
