Hi all,

Sat just north of Gothenburg, NE - we are south of an earlier tornado warned storm which moved north east of North Platte, though we think that it was unlikely to be a tornado - probably a landspout reported by a local sheriff:

Gonna head south to WaKeeney, KS for the night. Then tomorrow head south towards TX Panhandle, be nice to get some warmth - 18C the best here today - much colder with outlow from the storms. Been a reasonable day with some good structures and lightning.

I ran into a nice non severe warned storm in the middle of the Utah radar hole, near Hanksville. Saw about 5 or 6 funnels from this and other storms in the area. Probably just cold air funnels, but the first storm which produced at least 4 funnels did seem to have good inflow and maybe the brief timelapse I did will show rotation at cloud base.... None came close to producing never getting more than 25% of the way to the ground, but for a minute I did think I might get a landspout or two  The storm was pretty much stationary moving east at only a few mph. I'll do a full report once I've transferred everything to my PC from various memory cards. Here's a camcorder snap I took which I've already copied over.

If I was still in the Alley and there was squat all going on I would probably time allowing go see stuff or go and see if the Panhandels will work some magic, Woodward Ok has always been a lucky place for us at the Davy Inn, it is amazing how many times nothing is likely and then the Panhandels or the Caprock make things happen.
