Well, another long old drive today. We left North Platte, NE around 11.30am and drove down to Denver, CO under slate grey skies.

Just south of Denver we encountered rain along the stalled cold front that we had parelleled all the way down. The cloud obscured the Rockies until we got near Colorado Springs where it lifted sufficiently to reveal the Front Range

We eventually ended up in La Junta east of Pueblo around 7pm where we booked in to a hotel and let a thunderstorm move over us, nothing spectacular other than dumping alot of rain which flooded the roads around. Not really got any pictures myself of the storms ... but the others may have.

For Friday 22nd, would suggest southern NM or far western TX most likely to see any strong activity today, as the cooler air mass has moved south overnight and will be pushed back north slowly after noon local time -- possibly Ruidoso to Carlsbad might be a reachable target.
