Biggest Snowfall Since

Hi everybody,

it is 4 years only I am living in England, and this is the biggest snowfall I have seen since I moved here. Can anybody tell me when such a big event happend for SW England last time? So for Bristol this was the biggest snowfall since...

As Tim said, February 1991 had more snow than this cold spell and the snow on Tue 3rd Feb this year matched that of Thu 26th Feb 2004.

In November 2005, I measured only 2cm here in south of Bristol on the morning of the 25th and it had all gone by the afternoon but further southwest on the moors there was much more snow I am told and even thundersnow quite often as many snow showers piling in had sferics associated with them.

I didn't know places in the SW got almost 2ft snowfall in Feb 2007!!!

I remember seeing WIB saying it was the heaviest snowfall he`s seen.

November 2005 had around 6 inches at best as I remember.

February 1991 had 30cm`s widespread but the east/NE had the most london had 20cm`s most since 1962.

How much did london get from this was it 8 inches.

It could be certainly in places in the SW the deepest snow since the severe blizzards of 1978 when 1m fell.
